Just agents that can advise NCAA athletes.  The NBPA certifies agents without a college degree under certain circumstances.

Yeah it comes from that that one episode where Blanche shot up the post office

Smith required a second surgery on that same leg when the first surgery got botched.

Yeah the NFL would be so much better without the playoffs and Super Bowl. And who needs all that March Madness bracket stuff?

Pro/rel would work in the US if soccer were as ingrained in the culture as something like college football. Ole Miss fans would follow them if they were relegated into CUSA regardless. But soccer isn’t, and “new” fans aren’t going to follow a second division team.

And David Luiz supposedly wanting to leave Chelsea for Arsenal.

It means that people treat Earl like a hero a la Davy, and since Davy volunteered for the Mexican War with Texas, Earl should be satisfied with his contract.  It is absolutely absurd.  But IMO, such analogies were more commonplace 30 years ago than they are now.

“Heroes don’t act that way, people said,” Dale Robertson reported in the Houston Post, with a heaping of wryness. “Davy Crockett wouldn’t have asked for a raise at the Alamo. Shame, shame.”

I’m 50 and I loved it. Watching it in syndication, it doesn’t really stand the test of time very well. As others have said, too many other shows stole their shtick.

Hey to my sophomore year college roommate. To this day, whenever we get together, I love the first couple hours, tolerate the next couple, and after that just want to go home.

It’s not really unfair to say he isn’t very good at football.

Or maybe we are not evolved enough to have the brain capacity to accomplish tasks like colonization of another planet or interstellar travel.

Of course, the real reason the Giants drafted Jones was because his college coach was the same guy who helped develop Eli’s brother.

Jeremy Lin was a fringe NBA player who got hot for a couple weeks. His career since that ended really only proves that. He’s been given plenty of opportunity and it hasn’t panned out.

How would this remotely even be an NCAA issue?

Non-profits can most certainly operate with a profit.  They won’t stay in business if they don’t. The point of being a non-profit is that they do a public good AND don’t have owners who receive income from being profitable.  In other words, profit isn’t the primary incentive.

One other thing that I can add. Most of the wealth in Green Bay has little to do with the Packers, but with the various industries that have grown up here. For instance, Schreiber Foods, which is a private, employee owned company, has revenues about twenty times those of the Packers and employs ten times the number

For all of those wondering how the Packers can operate with only a slim profit margin, they have something like $400 million in reserves, which also includes an enormous property development just west of the Stadium. The organization isn’t hurting for wealth or cash.

Green Bay resident here. It is already a cut-rate Appleton even without the Packers. Don’t get me wrong, I like the place, but it is pretty much a stereotypical midwestern city of 100,000 people.

Orbitz makes it pretty clear when you purchase that refundable tickets are available for a higher price.  This is one of the problems with using a third party instead of using the third party to find a price, then booking direct with the airline.
