You neglected to post this Pulitzer-deserving quote from the AP:

This Brewer fan wants no part of remembering any guys that played in the late 80s and 90s.

This is the bullshit that people come up with whenever this is questioned. The microchip? It was well on its way long before Apollo came around - Texas Instruments was basically created in the late 50s to push the technology. CAT Scan? Commercially available in the 1960s.

How?  And could that have been accomplished without the “manned” portion of space flight?

Yep. Southwest with early bird check in is the way to go.

Why? Were there legit things about the Moon that we learned that we couldn’t have learned by sending a few probes? Or because it just made us feel good?

If Giannis started making political statements, a good portion of the Bucks fanbase would lament that he should “stick to sports.” But since a good portion of Wisconsin think the NBA is full of players who wear their pants too low and hang out with “gangster rappers,” they aren’t paying much attention anyway.

While it’s kind of cool that people of a certain generation get inspired by this, I mostly think manned space travel is a waste of money. But that probably wouldn’t be all that exciting of an answer.

The Packers once held Sanders to -1 rushing yards in a Wild Card playoff game between two mediocre teams. The fact that I remember this detail 25 years later shows what an incredible feat it was.

Wout!  That joke is terrible.

Not in Egypt.

Saw an interview of him recently.  He literally has no recollection of his time on “Cheers.”  Said something like “I’ve seen the shows so I know I was on it, but can’t actually remember anything about the show.”

Heh... “food”

It didn’t help that Harden set fire to his kitchen.

Exactly. I have actually tried to figure out the game a few times, and I just get more confused.

This is it exactly. I watch 80% of the Brewer games on television, and know the roster inside and out, but I don’t think I have watched a single non-Brewer game all year.  I have no desire to since the Brewers give me plenty of baseball already.

Intra division rivals play one another 19 times a year.  You think it would make a difference if they played 22?

Is Neymar really *that* good?

My grandfather grew up a Yankee fan in the Bronx when Yankee Stadium was under construction, and later got to see Ruth, Gehrig, DiMaggio, Mantle and Reggie play World Series games in the place. He said that the best part of the construction is that the site was on a hill overlooking the Polo Grounds in Manhattan

Is Neymar really THAT good?
