Ya gotta hand it to Spurrier.  That dude has no reason ever to coach again. He’s a legend that can pretty much do whatever he wants right now.  And what he wants is to coach football.

MM wasn’t going to be fired after last year.  He was in two of the three previous NFC championship games before that.  

To be fair, Rodgers is missing two of his top three receivers and playing a lot of downs with two rookies.  Geronimo Allison has the makings of a real solid #2, and Randall Cobb has been good enough to serve as a #3.  Having both of them out has hurt the passing game considerably.

Poor take.  It was halfway through the second quarter and a seven point game.  (13 after he made the TD.)  South Carolina cut it back down to seven less than a minute later.  So yeah, the penalty is dumb, but it’s still a poor penalty to take in that situation.

Mildly is correct. I haven’t had a good “sit on my ass and do nothing but watch college football” Saturday in awhile. And *this* is the weekend it finally happens???

The Vikings really haven’t been that bad historically.  They just lose playoff games in spectacular fashion.

On a related note, the slate of college football games this weekend is awful. Including Saturday night.

Seriously, is there anything more useless than the coin flip to start a soccer match? Let the visitors have the ball. Let the home side defend whatever goal it wants. Move on.

The NHL was run like a mom and pop clown car before he got there.  Yeah he has made some unpopular decisions, and yeah he is getting credit for things like a national TV contract that he shouldn’t have received credit for, but as a professional sports league, the NHL has been better with him than what it was before…

I once went on a business trip to Central Washington when they had wildfires. It was very odd seeing everyone go about their business with smoke-haze in the air, the smell of campfire and semi-contained fires just 50 miles away. Not a single sniff of smoke in my hotel room though.

I would be mad if I were a franchisee too.  Their first post-Papa John marketing campaign was beyond lame. In no way should they bring Papa back, but they need to have a better plan than the one they have.
