Carlos the Wonder Dog Again

I still don’t get the Yelich trade. The Marlins gave up a guy entering his prime with FIVE years of club control at a reasonable price. I mean, the price was reasonable BEFORE this year.  Now it looks like an incredible bargain. And the Brewers really didn’t give up much to get him either.

Bingo. Bankruptcy isn’t the end of the world by any means.

Even bankruptcy would have been a better option than the path he chose. By now, that would have been long gone from his record.

Who says they have no intention of signing him?  They had no intention of giving him an extension before the season starts because they hold all the cards. If he gets hurt, they’re done with him. If he has a great year, they can franchise him and tender an offer.

The last good one IMO was Katy Perry. I dislike her music, but it was SOOO over the top that I thought it was at least entertaining.

Counter, counterpoint:

Trump is simply now a trojan horse for the worst of Republican policies.  He says and does outrageous things that grab the headlines, while those in actual power implement their oligarchian madness.

They tied the Browns because Big Ben fumbled twice and threw two INTs. Conner was more than an adequate replacement for Bell.

He’s right. There is no room for a man named Freeze in an America where climate is affected by global warming.

I’ve said this before about my kid’s high school - the band teacher gets away with shit that no coach could ever get away with. Language, practice times, competitions hundreds of miles away, etc. But since it’s “music” it’s educational I guess?

Pete Carroll also thinks this is an inside job.

What the Christ!!

After watching the Lions the last couple of years, I have no idea why they kept Cooter.

I am ashamed that I laughed.  Here is your star.

It was a distinct change in their offense.  No huddle reduces substitutions. Short drops with quick release makes pressure harder. Bulaga even admitted he sucked in the first half against Mack, but he’s a solid tackle and figured things out in the second.  In the end he was sacked twice, and Packer QBs four times.

I see someone forgot to watch the second half.

Oh yeah. I agree with you. Also, the entire episode has been the owners tripping over their own dicks because they just feel they should get what they want. Which is kind of fun to watch.

He’s not horrific as a coach.  He’s not great tactically but the guy knows how to run a locker room, especially one with a lot of young players.  Packer fans need to look around to realize there aren’t many better.

No.

How the owners can STILL screw this up after TWO YEARS is beyond amazing.  Just change back the pre-game procedures so the players are in the locker rooms.  If you did that from the beginning, this issue would be dead and buried.
