Lehigh (like a lot of PWIs) unfortunately has some history with these kinds of incidents. There was some vandalism while I was a student. Hopefully this particular student makes a quick recovery.

Exact amenities on the ship are yet to be announced, but its sister was expected to have an outdoor waterpark, movie theater, 20 decks and a 1,122-foot monastery.

The BMW S54 is my dream engine. I’d like mine in a Clownshoe, but I’d settle for the E46 M3.

There’s a certain predictability to all this: people idolize a man who died in the woods because he did something reckless. Then they end up doing something reckless and dying in the woods.

I realize I’m breaking rule #1 here, but I just use a good old fashioned French press. The steps to making cold brew are pretty simple: mix grounds with cold water, leave it in the fridge overnight, and separate the grounds out in the morning. No need for a fancy apparatus.

I’m a Padres fan and my experience at Citizens Bank Park last season was pretty good, if it makes you feel any better. No one said anything to me in my Padres gear, except for a guy who figured I didn’t want my souvenir bobblehead and gave me ten bucks for it.

You’re forgetting one big, sexy hit.

I don’t know how this was completely left out of the article...

To me, the most compelling piece of evidence here is that brake test. The Corolla on snows does it in 38'. That Rav-4 on all seasons? 57'. In this (admittedly specific) case, the heavier, AWD vehicle actually performs worse in a critical safety situation.

I can’t believe I wasted the time to read this article that boils down to a lawyer making a dumb joke.

Ok, but what did the judges say?? Are these cats going to be millionaires/Las Vegas superstars?? The world needs to know these things, Megan.

I’m confused as to why this is a problem. I take it much of the Deadspin commentariat doesn’t like The Root?...

The Root already reported this a few hours ago. Why not just share their story to the Deadspin homepage?

Edit: I am Very Dumb™. I didn’t realize the city wasn’t setting the price. My bit about them requiring the medallion for taxis and not ride-shares checks out though.

It’s not really capitalism though when the government is artificially setting the price of the medallion at $700k, and letting others perform the same service without one.

I do the same, but if you’re ever in a bind and need to get a wrench in there, try removing the passenger wheel. It gives you *some* access through the wheel well.

I can’t even believe I’m engaging with this unseasoned take, but a) they were waiting for their friend, b) even if they weren’t it hardly warrants them getting walked out in handcuffs, and c) white people do this shit all the time with impunity.

As a Padres fan, this was so hard to watch. We beat them the night before, then held them scoreless for 9 and 2/3 innings, only to blow the game in the most Padres way possible.

Is that Mount Rainier off in the distance?

Perfect timing; it’s Thermos Bottle Day.
