Bernie is 88 now, I doubt he will be in it for the long haul if he does get his empire back.  But, it would make things more interesting for sure.

Yup. Just saw one in the wild a couple months ago, some dad driving his kid to baseball. Its the most striking car from just about every angle. I damn near drove off the road gawking at it!

Nicely put. I’ll just ad that nothing increases sales like a good slogan and commercials. They need a “Five Dollar Foot Long” kinda run. Those damn subs were $3. They increased the price and you gladly paid for it because of that jingle. I can’t even remember a Cadillac ad from recent times. I do recall Lincoln ads

The Iranian revolution of the late 1970's is another great example. Tired of the Shah? Ok, lets try a Islamic Theocratic republic. I don’t think many of the revolutionaries saw that coming at the time, and once it was in place, is now what you have 40 years later. You don’t always get to choose your adventure when it

Another satisfying article Peter! It looks like you really have a project with this old E30, but as long as you can take your time and do it in your usual meticulous style, it will all be worth it in the end. Of all the cars I’ve had to wrench on, my E21 320/6 was the best/worst. It was easy to work on, I even had the

I only have 1 car, so it only has to do the things I need it for: 70mi/day commute, must hold my mountain bike(s) inside plus any other gear. Must be chargeable in a reasonable amount of time(less than 15min) if I’m going somewhere far, and 300mi range! Also must be easy to clean.

I don’t recall ever seeing one of these coupes in the wilds of Long Island. Every one I ever saw was a wagon. My neighbor had one and it lasted him till he stopped driving, at least 20 years. I would love a Kammback myself. Its the older, better version of my 2008 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport!

Condolences to you and your family Mack. A sad but story to be sure, but you will help others by telling it, and I’m sure it helped you to write it and get it out there. One thing that crossed my mind as I read it. I wonder if, being a rugby player, your brother may have been suffering from CTE symptoms. I don’t

Is it just me, or are there wayyyy to many Houston stories lately?  What the hell is going on in that city??

Its the Ferrari way to fire the team principal when things don’t go according to plan. The plan was to win both championships, they won neither, so out with Arrivabene. Of course, next year, when they come in 4th in the championship(you heard it here first!), they will fire the new guy.  LeClerc will push Vettel like

Forget fast charging. The loads are too great to be reasonably safe ALL of the time. What we need here is quick change batteries. Automated stations where you pull in, the friendly robot takes out your universal mount battery(patent pending!), and replaces it with another that’s fully charged. Total swap time is under

I would actually pay my hard earned money to see this in Montreal. Any excuse to go to one of my favorite cities. I’ve been priced out of F1, having attended from ‘92-2006. Shame they don’t have it now.

It would be sweet if they produced that 3 cyl engine that produced 250hp, you know, for retrofits and such.  They could recoup some of the development costs.

Currently shown as “currently unavailable”. That’s unfortunate.

This car seemed to hold up pretty well, and the fact that the backseat passengers seem to take the most damage, despite the side impact airbags, leads me to believe that they are going to have to start putting airbags in the backs of the front seats to lessen the neck damage to backseat passengers. Or require all

IIRC on the E30, only the 325is and some later 325i had the battery in the trunk to help distribute weight and offer better performance. But I’ve always thought that the extra weight of the extra 8' of battery cable kinda offset any advantage, because you still have the weight of the battery and the cable weight.

Hoooo Boy. Get ready to see these things all over the place. If it had a shorter wheelbase 2 door option I would get one myself, and I’m not a Jeep fan. But they are gonna sell a ton of these next year.

This is a car I will buy when I retire and have nothing to do but fix it all week to drive the grandchildren to dinner on Sunday night. That is what I picture.

Ill be surprised if this thing even happens, and if it does, it will probably end up like Korea. 2 races and done. The Korean GP was a mess from the word go. My favorite bit was when they went back for the second year. They opened the gates to the track and it was like, after the first race, they just turned off the

What is this Mirai fuel cell car thing that gets 68mpg? I could use a car that gets 68mpg. For some reason it costs $58,000. I don’t need a car that costs $58,000. Cant have your fuel cell and burn  it too I guess.
