I'm not sure that's the case. It's certainly harder for him to come back than if he had just ignored calls for his resignation (David Vitter, Larry Craig), but being the center of a ridiculous sex scandal might not be the death knell it ought to be. Name recognition is a huge part of people's votes, and Anthony Wiener

Why hasn't anyone mentioned that in light of Lawrence v. Texas this is obviously unconstitutional?

This is one of those conversations on Jezebel that makes me absolutely love everyone here for all of the positivity and encouragement that is shared. GO EVERYONE YOU ARE ALL 1's ON THE BINARY SCALE.

This comment drifts a little bit into the assumption that people who are bigger are by definition lazy and slovenly. Everyone wants someone who has similar interests, but I don't think you can judge a person's interests by their body size. Fat people can love exercise, athletics, and competition as well, and to assume

Reading this article I was thinking the exact same thing...

The posts and comments by anti-choicers make it pretty clear that their goals are not to prevent abortion, but to make sure that people are punished for having sex. That's stupid, unChristian, and wrong.

Keep it up. I hope my daughter turns out like yours. And my son turns out like you.

Have you asked anyone at the embassy?

If having two first names means you can't be trusted, I can only assume that having two last names would define you as exceptionally trustworthy.

My partner's in the same place and debating whether we should stay. To stay is to fight a losing battle against state politics to actually care for the poor and vulnerable in our world. But if we go somewhere else we might actually be allowed to make a difference, and giving good care wouldn't be illegal or dangerous.

I'm another happily married individual who had those same concerns and chose to stay. A big enough part of me knew that trying to play the field wouldn't be as satisfying as I think, and that lightning doesn't strike twice. It was definitely the right decision for me.

Jane Gallop, Anecdotal Theory. Super feminist. Hard to read. Blew my mind in regard to professor-student relationship in graduate school.

Like almost anywhere in the world, academia has both nice people and blowhard mouthbreathing morons.

I think the title is referring to the statement that June-August is the best time to have a baby with a healthy birth weight. It comes a little after the quote, and is just briefly mentioned. But that makes a much better headline than "If you're thinking about getting pregnant, do so anytime in the next six months or

I know a lot of people who hunt so that they can have meat in the freezer for the winter. I also know a lot of people who lease out land to people who hunt for sport so that they can pay for prescriptions. It's made me look at hunting a little bit differently.

Is there anything that suggests that flat spots have a significant effect on the future of the child? Because if not, I'm filing this under "shit I never have to think about again."

Yeah. Was it on Jezebel that I read an article that basically said that the argument that too much sex stretches out vaginas is roughly the same as "if you keep making that face it will stick that way?" I think it applies here too.

I'm not sure how much of that is actually amateur...

I just moved to a small town part-time. And let me tell you they know everything about you, and everyone is always paying attention. I don't think that Lakeland is that small of a town (maybe the mall is small?), but I definitely know where that level of scrutiny does exist.
