I used to work at Toyota and I would tell every co-worker this. Hell, I almost got pissed off enough from driving loaner cars that I wanted to email whoever headed up the infotainment engineering team and curse them out. The infotainment systems in both Toyota and Lexus vehicles are so freaking bad it would be a deal

Seriously, I laughed at the tidbit about Elio banking a 250k salary and still living in AZ. It’s pretty obvious that he’s using the company to pay himself well, then when it all falls apart he washes his hands of the mess and leaves with a good chunk of money in the bank.

Wait, the vehicle itself is using live cylinder pressure data?? How very cool, I guess the price of such sensors has finally reached a point where they can be used on a production car.

As someone who owned a manual 9-5 aero wagon, I agree. Everyone should own a Saab at some point. So comfy and so much torque, it was a pleasure to drive even if it understeered decently.

The only issue is now you have two propulsion components to maintain, one being a complex gasoline engine.

It’s sad because the S2k could be amazing for someone who wants a quicker Miata and has a little more money to spend (what I wanted to do).

LOL yeah, when I was car shopping I wanted to get an S2k badly. Once I realized I could get a C5 Z06 for the same price OR LESS, it was a no-friggin-brainer. My 02 Z06 with 80k miles cost less then most of the s2k’s linked on this thread...

I don’t understand the first paragraph. Robo Recall is THE MOST fun I have had with a video gave in a very long time. Technically it’s just a shooter...

Uhh that must have been a car issue. I used android auto in a rental Hyundai and it was pure bliss compared to any OEM system.

Ugh, Toyota and their horrible infotainment. When I worked for them, I had to refrain from just straight up emailing the head of interior electronics / UI and ask what the fuck they are doing. Even in freaking Lexus systems, there is lag, it’s ugly, not intuitive, and doesn’t integrate with any of the new tech (want

I feel very lucky that I finally found a job where I work from home/with customers, and only go to the office maybe once a week. The quality of life increase (compounded by the traffic in LA) is worth it, even if I had to take a small pay cut.

I was going to say, why the hell are they highlighting wheel wells!?

Go drive one and you’ll see that’s a fairly false statement.

I mean if you had the chance to wring out an F1 would you not? Sure, that guy looks like he sucks at driving, but it’s not like he is doing anything crazy.

I still think it’s a huge negative that it doesn’t have adaptive cruise. If I am going to buy a car like this for my DD, it damn well better have ACC. It’s the main reason I would get a Volt instead of the Bolt if I was in the market.

Car engines are most efficient at lowish rpm and full load (throttle). Furthermore, full throttle to near redline in bursts help to starve off carbon build up.

02' with 85k miles, $14.5k. image upload isn’t working well lol, but it’s silver.

I just bought a C5 Z06 and I think it’s the best thing I have done in my life (eh, maybe a little exaggeration there). Coming from a turbo and a stock Miata, it’s amazing how much better a chassis feels when it is actually built for its power output. Also, I love being able to kick the tail end out whenever I like,

Yeah I have heard good things about them too, do they do unsecured for used cars? I just can’t get over how much easier that made things lol (of course YMMV based on credit score)

Use lightstream. They gave me an unsecured loan to buy my 02 Z06 at 3.5% Apr for 60 months. Wasn’t planning on financing for that long but at that rate I was good with it. And unsecured made things so much friggin easier.
