Toyota worked with Tesla to make the Rav4 EV. Are you factoring in how much filtering and processing that will need to be done to make that signal useable? It would take a very specialized mic, very specialized math, and very precise installation to make that happen. I just highly doubt they can nail all that all while being half the price of a regular DAQ unit…

When wiring your own DAQ, electrical noise is always a factor, especially with the high frequency waves from a crank or cam sensor. With a good DAQ and wiring your statement holds true, sure it’s not too hard, but otherwise it can be.

At less than 4k screen resolutions, the difference between the 1080p screen of the PSvr and the 2160x1200 screen of the rift actually will be very noticeable. I had a rift DK1 and 2, the 1had horrible screen door, the 2 was OK but still annoying... The PSvr matches the DK2 so it will still have that annoying screen…
