None of that will do you much good at all in SW FL. The street names are completely random, with about the only consistency being that USUALLY, a Boulevard is a larger road than anything else. But there is a boulevard in my neighborhood that is just another side street. I think the developer’s wives name them as

You could up the ante and make it NE Main Street Road S. There are bunch of residential roads in my city that have the quadrant and a direction on them. Trying to find a road that has all four cardinal directions. I imagine there is a NE West Street S somewhere...

This past weekend I was driving NB on IL Rt. 47 in Elburn, IL and drove past “Main Street Road” and I struggled to wrap my head around it.

Is this the same Chevrolet that will not have Car Play or Android Auto because they can provide a ‘better’ software experience?

“Like a brick...”

So, they spent a lot of effort getting it out the door and not so much on developing diagnostics?

They’re going to bring back their old “like a rock” slogan, because their new EV’s are as stationary as one.

You can have both: Canbus. Even if you have real electric switches, they usually go through the canbus (or whatever system that particular manufacturer uses), and from there, the action is triggered.

Yeah. The fact that the dealer thinks 23 things are wrong with it, means the dealer is clueless.

GM wants us to believe they can write better software than multi billion dollar software companies. This situation makes clear that’s a (crack)pipe dream.

lol, probably would’ve been better served with a Wrangler 4xe and a small trailer for half the price, with a huge aftermarket. Hell, I got buy for years with a Mazda3 and a 5x10 trailer hauling lots of shit. But it’s ok. As long as you like it, who gives a shit what pretty much everybody but people who bought the same

Having ALL that crap screw up makes me think it’s just one BIG problem with the computer. Still doesn’t take away how ridiculous it is. It’s like when that 1 fuse blows and your horn, left turn signal, and passenger side reverse light stops working 😄

It’s simply the next logical step in GM’s war against distracted driving: disable the driving function of their vehicles.

To be fair, this sounds more like some wacky CANBUS issue. Vehicles these days run EVERYTHING over their internal network. I remember reading about an F-150 that had a corroded CANBUS connector in the tail light housing and it caused a MYRIAD of problems very similar to what I’m reading here. Everything from

I read the Edmunds article and list of issues and the majority seems to be communication issues between various modules. Sadly, as cars become more complex, something as simple as a bad line of code or poor wiring connection can affect multiple systems and render the vehicle inoperable or unsafe.

Well that too. I’ve never owned a truck before but I need one a couple times a year where I borrow from family. I wanted a convertible but that’s a waste from a utility standpoint. I wanted an EV but I own my ‘18 E63 Wagon so why would I replace it with something like a Taycan Turbo S, which is the nearest in

I have been very lucky, buying the first year of new designs often, most recently my RAM Rebel, which when you consider Stellantis’s reputation quite impressive to have zero issues in my 4 years of ownership.

Not to single out Chevy on this, but this is why it is almost ALWAYS a good idea to avoid the first MY of a new car model/platform, there are always teething problems.
