Concerning the second part of your comment, various states pass laws forbidding minors from purchasing M or AO rated games but every time they get slapped down by the courts because having the government do that would be a violation of our Constitution. Retailers generally choose not to sell those games to minors…

Just like in my home state (Michigan) Supreme Court justices run initially from outside the court and have to be re-elected every six years. I don’t disagree with your other point though. It just makes you wonder about the people who chose him above anyone else who was running for the position.

I was a kid for that one too (sometime in the 90's?) but my school acted much like the one in the article where we couldn’t go outside at all that day. I remember not having a recess period after lunch that day because of it.

Our Constitution was set with a pretty bright line for freedom of speech because of the things that weren’t allowed under the rule of Great Britain. If you can convince three-quarters of the states to agree with you that some speech needs to be banned, then go for it.
