I honestly don’t remember. Not only did I find the chart I was talking about back in 2004 but the comment you just replied to was from almost two years ago. Did this article get reposted recently? You’re the second person to have replied to my comment in the last couple days.

The problem is the perception of impropriety. If the coin doesn’t flip, the ref could have been trying to fix the flip. It doesn’t really matter if he was or not but, it’s best to avoid looking like something is wrong.

I got my free Minecraft Windows 10 even though my Mojang account email address and my Microsoft account are different. On Mojang’s website, you can get a key for Windows 10 edition (once you’re signed in to a Mojang account that has purchased Minecraft). You enter that key in the Windows Store and you get the game.

What Cydonia is getting at is the question, “How much do you value your free time?” Is it worth $20/hour or more to you to not be waiting in line at the cable company? If so, then go ahead and pay someone $20 to do it for you, if not (as appears to be your situation) then do it yourself.

I was thinking about that too. I’m not a coffee drinker (I’m drinking a chai latte right now) but, if I was, I’d probably try drinking an 8 oz espresso just to see if I could do it.

This is meant as a reply to SnowDog but, Kinja is being Kinja today.

Well, meat (most food really) is mostly water and a not-insignificant amount of our daily water intake is from eating. We even get some from breathing when the humidity is right. That’s why there’s no specific amount of water a person should drink. As long as you drink when you’re thirsty, you should be fine.

That’s still odd since they turned on “sponsored posts” last year. Unless, of course, you haven’t updated since Q3 2015.

That’s strange. I have Instagram on a Nexus too and I certainly have ads “Sponsored Posts” (which is what they call them).

This would only really work if SS was a personal retirement account. It’s not. The money being paid in now goes (primarily) to those who are currently drawing from it. (The rest goes into an interest bearing fund that is commonly borrowed against by the rest of the federal government.)

I don’t want to start a class war here but, if you can afford to save 92% of your income and still survive you are in a group that almost certainly doesn’t need the Social Security safety net. It’s designed for those of us who spend the majority of our income on things like food, clothing, shelter, and medicine and

I never said anything about winning, I just said we wouldn’t lose.

Well, with thousands of nuclear weapons, we wouldn’t exactly lose either.

About that last point, a VP of a company I’ve worked with as a contractor before sometimes prospects for new employees when he’s shopping at stores that are going out of business. So, sometimes, you may be on the verge of a job offer (or at least an interview) after that “what are you going to do now?” question.

The problem with fairness here is that sports are split by physical gender so that the most physically capable females can compete separately from the most physically capable males for the sake of fairness. If a woman with testosterone producing male gonads is competing against women, that extra testosterone becomes a

The metric system is the fundamental basis for the United States customary system and has been since 1893. All units in the customary system are officially defined using appropriate SI measures. For example, one mile is defined as being exactly 1609.344 meters.

I consider it a good place for distasteful but legal pornography.

He’s referring to the fact that it’s technically possible for Amazon to remotely remove books from your Kindle. I don’t think they’ve ever done that but it is possible. And Murry Chang’s comment covers that possibility as well, just download the file itself to either your Kindle or a computer. I always do that anyway

That’s pretty good luck compared to some of the commenters I’m reading here. At least Hotmail is owned by Microsoft now so if anything goes wrong with your account, it’ll be one stop shopping to fix it.
