Maybe it can be used for an MMO so that the world itself is rendered on a powerful server and the client just handles player interactions with said world. I'm willing to believe that most MMO players will have internet connections fast enough to handle that level of bandwidth.

If I remember correctly there's still a tiny amount of cocaine in Coca-Cola but you'd have to drink some insane amount (144 million ounces was the amount I heard although that sounds extreme) to actually get high.

Hmm... life has existed on Earth for about 3.5 billion years now. 85 million years ago life had existed on Earth for...well...rounding to the nearest 100 million years about 3.4 billion years! Has all of Earths oil really been deposited in the last 100 million years? That seems odd to me for some reason....

You know, the fact that this actually happened continues to amaze me. I'd like to think that it would be cheaper to use modular components for things like that. Same size hole same sized widget. Assembly line 101.

Even if you abolish political parties, with our voting system you'll eventually end up with something similar. It's quite inevitable but Constitutional amendments are hard to get passed especially when they do things that our Congress would rather not have done.

I don't think that the ignorant outnumber the critically-thinking but I do believe that the sensible people are just too quiet. For example, I'm not as passionate about my political views so I don't go around screaming them at anyone who will listen but, the Tea Party, and to be fair the Occupy movement as well, are

Well, we're officially pulling out of Iraq by the end of the year. That's 5.5 weeks now. I hope that we can get out of Afghanistan by the end of 2012 but I'm not sure if it'll happen.

It may not be 'pure' science but I'd say that it definitely qualifies as 'applied' science. Which now that I think about it is also called engineering.

He finally left the 'Live with Regis and Kelly' show last Friday but he said that, "he's not retiring" so I don't know what he's doing now.

I've used Lookout since it came out for Blackberry on my Curve 8330 and I loved it there so once I got an Android device I immediately got it for that too. I haven't had any viral issues since then.

If you make your primary outbound number your Google Voice number then you, as far as I know, can't use your actual cellular number for outbound messages or calls. I've found this out the hard way. I subscribed for a retail chains SMS's to enter into a contest before linking my phone with Google Voice so they send

I must agree with this one. Also though I have to say that end-users NEED to stop letting their viral situation get out of hand. I repaired a system yesterday that had been infected since August 1st. I could tell since that was the day that the infection killed System Restore. Once you have a problem stop using

About that $100 iPad, I personally might buy it, if I'm given a chance to check that it works properly. I'd buy it, wipe it and dump it on Craigslist or e-bay to resell it. Afterall, at $100 I don't think that I want to keep it on me....

I remember installing Win95 from floppy on a 386 for a teacher of mine in High School...that was the point when I realized that floppies were NOT the way to distribute anything larger than 10MB. 20+ floppies is just too many >_<

From Windows v5.1 (XP) to Windows v6 (Vista) there was a major overhaul of the way applications interact with the OS so a large number of legacy applications failed to work properly with Vista (and Win7 since it's Windows v6.1). However, since Windows 8 is listed as Windows v6.2 there shouldn't be any major

Exactly! I read this article and thought, "What kind of system, that meets the minimum requirements for Win7, would take 8 hours to install on?" I'm thinking that MS doesn't want people to just stick with what's working (Win7) after 8 comes out so they're getting in the leg work in decrying Win7 ahead of time.

That doesn't sound like such a bad idea. I think that I could get away with slightly shorter passwords if I did something like that. My last three Windows passwords have been full sentences with punctuation between 15 and 30 characters long ^_^ It's just too bad that most websites choke on spaces and punctuation in

#1 I've been tempted to use that password on multiple occasions since I read that comic.

That may be why it hasn't actually been rolled out yet ^_^

I know people who do this, hell I've done it before. However, if you live together you'd probably be better off buying the family pack as far as Xbox Live is concerned. Four accounts for $100/year. There's no better deal.
