My thinking is that Drivetrain = everything needed to make the car move (engine, gearbox, propshaft, axle) and Transmission = everything needed to get the power from the engine to wheels (gearbox, propshaft, axle). Don’t know how acceptable that is.

I kind of feel that “Transmission” is everything between the engine and the wheels (IE gearbox, propshaft, axle etc.) wheras the “Gearbox” is just the thing that you (or a computer, or arrangement of miscellaneous bits of hydraulics) shift.

I live in Europe (for the minute).

I both agree and disagree; I don’t like clutter, and don’t like having too much shit; I’d like to travel at some point, and, all in all, kind of want to get to the point that the stuff I use could fit in the back of a van. But there are things, specific things, that I like, and want to keep. Some have sentimental

It’s pretty easy to get two cows in a honda civic; If you’re coming from the mainland UK, you’ve just got to head down to Portsmouth and catch the ferry across to the Isle of Wight. It’s about a 6 hour drive from where I am now, however I don’t own a honda civic.

It’d fit the bill perfectly; I kind of want a reliant scimitar, but the essex v6 is too much poke for my insurance. Annoying, as they’re affordable otherwise.

That would be absolutely ideal for me; That’s pretty much my spec for car shopping. must be fun, and must be able to carry lumber or other long objects. Oh, and a guitar. There must be room for a guitar in there. and a keyboard. Incidentally, earlier today I was trying to figure out whether there would be any method

I’ve been tempted by a couple of sera’s while shopping for a first car; The main things that put me off the idea were a; not particularly practical (high load level, not a ton of space even with the seats down), and b; can’t put a roof rack on it (I want to be able to cart planks of wood around). Still shopping, if

I genuinely don’t know which one I want more.

Maybe they should do a colab; get RUF on the underpinnings (basically the same CF shell etc. used on this) then hand it over to Singer to trim it out, handle the aesthetics etc.

I think the new lights are a good fit, personally; they match the shape of the original, as covered by the plexi headlight covers, pretty well.

You’re not; Multiple people are allowed to be wrong at the same time.

    Congratulations, Jalopnik; We know.

Picky correction; wings provide downforce, spoilers smooth the flow. “Spoiler” gets used for both a lot of the time, though. Either way you still need grip at the back end of an FWD, sometimes to the point that you need a wing.

I think probably the weirdest would be this Berkeley T-60 three-wheeler; when I was on holiday this year in Fairbourne (North Wales) this little thing was motoring up and down the coast road; belonged to one of the locals. there was a small car show while we were there, and he showed up; turns out he’d dropped the

I really, seriously hate this argument; if you’re rejecting an automated system that would be quicker, more efficient, and generally better, in favour of keeping people in employment, then you’re basically just looking for an excuse to give them money, and then wasting their time in order to make it seem like your

The Lamborghini Islero is one of my forgotten favorites; I always forget it exists, but, when reminded, it immediately becomes one of my favorite cars. I just keep forgetting it exists.

I guess you root for the team writing the code; It’s like with a robotics competition.

If you want to see a cactus, you should go to my home town; Preston seems to have a ton of them, for some reason. Or come up to Leeds; not for any particular car-reason, it’s just I’m here at the moment for university. We’re holding a robot wars competition at the weekend, if you’re interested. That said, we do get

pretty much all cars over here are stick; autos aren’t rare, but they’re in the minority.
