So there’s part of the problem. People without your level of knowledge are going to see 2 or 3 bolts and quickly come to the conclusion that since 3 > 2, the charger with 3 bolts is better.

Taking a minute to pop inside for some high quality MTO cuisine is a little different than taking an hour to charge your prehistoric nissan leaf or whatever
Yeah but if there are 4 pumps open, and you are getting gas, you wouldn’t use the only combo pump would you? I wouldn’t.
There’s also the misperception that only the more expensive EVs benefit. The Kia EV6 and Hyundai Ioniq 5 both use 800v batteries and can maximize the flow of the 350kw chargers.
Except a 5 minute wait is more tolerable than a 3 hour wait. Poor people can be so inconsiderate.
...had this happen last weekend at an EA station. I bought a Hummer EV last month and was on a road trip. This is a remote station that I’ve never seen full with 4 chargers and there were only two charging, a VW iD4 and a Chevy Bolt, which can only charge at 118kW and 55kW, respectively. BOTH 150kW chargers were free…
I disagree with the first come, first serve mentality.
“was inadequate, and he believed he was overcharged”
I mean, more of a wolf3d clone, but whatever ;)
I’m not seeing the problem here. Fuck Russia.
I fail to understand the problem.
I have always said that butts in seats is the best way to advertise electric cars. Once people experience them, they understand the major benefits.
“Don’t believe me, look up “EV chargers near me- Bergholz, Ohio”
I just did, with PlugShare.
“There are currently 4 charge point locations within an hour’s drive”
How is that relevant? I’ve been driving EVs for over a decade now. I don’t ever use a public charger within an hour’s drive of home. That’s silly. Like…
Not for long.
“I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if a million subprime auto loan adjusters cried out in terror, and were suddenly silenced.”
Too bad, because the NEST app is way better than that shitty Google home crap.
The point is not to compare it to an efficient EV.
Bald tires are also an issue. When I am driving around Florida I see loads of cars with bald tires.
“Reality has a well known liberal bias” - Stephen Colbert
Isn’t this a pretty pointless comparison unless you’re buying a smartphone because it has a better car experience? Android phones can’t use Apple car play and vice versa, right?
