Battery Tender Unnecessary

Seconded.  It’s never played within a couple hundreds miles of me and I’d like to see it.

It’s particularly bad for brands like Razer. All the “ballooning battery” issues are pretty much exclusively because of a combination of heat from gaming and keeping the battery at 100%. It’s gotten so bad that a lot of people that just use their gaming laptop stationary remove their battery to prevent it.

I think the more prudent thing would be to swear off Sony Pictures gigs. The executive class there can’t seem to keep their hands off the creative side.

I returned mine, I knew how to set it up. I even 3d printed an adapter that let you use a second solo band as a top strap to take the weight off my face where it was giving me migraines from the pressure. People are returning it because “Spatial computing” was just Apple’s marketing spin to sell a VR headset as

Counterpoint: They were grossly too expensive to being with, so I just see it as $50k of depreciation and $20-30k margin grab taken off. I can’t imagine the margins on just upping the output of an electric motor through software. You could get an almost mechanically identical Audi RS etron GT for $150k (which was also

“WHO COULD HAVE SEEN THIS COMING?!?”...asks someone who said the Apple Vision Pro would be the most returned product in Apple history as soon as reviews started popping up.

I contextualized it by thinking, “I could buy a Macbook, iPad, iPhone, Apple Watch, Airpods, and AppleTV COMBINED” and have a better computer, better media consumption device, better communication device, better connected wearable, better sound, and better battery life...and all without headaches from the weight.

Trading your pilot’s license for a little clout is a bad deal.

Well, circle complete. These dipshits did it for clout and now they’re in a slide show. Mission accomplished.

Yeah, but I also think some EV manufacturers game ranges with tire compounds meant to maximize efficiency in things like the Leaf, Prius, etc. (i.e. the Primacy) where they didn’t mean for them to be put on 400-1000hp cars and this is the result. These EVs would likely get MUCH more life out of a normal tire but would

...weird. I’ve got 6800 miles on my Hummer EV and barely any tread wear loss. A guy on Hummerchat has over 30k miles and is still on the original tires with plenty of tread left. I think it’s more based on what tire cars companies are picking to maximize range, which is reducing the usable life of the tires. The

Uuuuuuugggggghhhh

But he’s focusing on damage. And they don’t sprinkle the money they pay in registration, tax, and fuel over the damaged road like road salt and it’s magically repaired. That requires years of road closures, construction, etc. that wouldn’t be necessary if there weren’t trucks that weigh orders of magnitude more than

Just to point out, Kyle from Out of Spec got 318 miles out a Hummer EV in the same temps...on REAL off road MT tires (not the all-seasons cut to look like all-terrain Goodyear made for Telsa). And I’ve made a couple 305 mile round-trips to see family the past couple weeks in the high 30s, low 40s where I end up with

...whew boy, imagine if we had vehicles with 18 wheels that weighed 35,000-80,000lbs...what a nightmare for road damage...the horror if such a vehicle existed.

Hell, I’ve paid over $3k for a Macbook Pro, 10 years ago, $4.3k+ adjusted for inflation and I didn’t blink...but the AVP is a “I need you to prove it’s worth $3,500", which they had done with MBP’s 10 years ago...but all they’ve done in the context of the VR market is build a more refined car that doesn’t drive on the

Good thing my kid acts like their skin is on fire if you try and buckle them in with a jacket on.

I don’t know why they just didn’t just focus on media consumption and make it $1500-2000. I don’t need a Macbook on my face. I’m not going to be rendering video on this thing. All anyone wanted was to consume media on a screen bigger than physically possible anywhere you sat down.

$3500 is objectively one of the most expensive Apple products you can buy. For that price you can buy three iPhone 15 Pros or three iPad Pros, or three M3 Macbooks or a combination off all three with an Apple watch and AirPods. I ordered the 1TB then cancelled it this morning as it becomes more apparent how hot it’s

Just popping in to say Supercruise is awesome and anyone that doesn’t think so hasn’t tried it.
