Correct. What interests me is something not mentioned: The Magnitsky Act. My hunch is that the two 747-8 jets were ordered by Transaero, the now bankrupt Russian airline, several years ago.

It tempers the steel. After all the heating and hammering and cooling during the first part of the process, the metal is fairly soft. By heating it up and quenching it (when he dips it in water), then sticking it in the oven, he’s changing the crystalline structure and making it much more durable.

Thanks for sharing your story and for touching my heart. I know how the racing community steps up to help because I’ve seen it happen consistently over the last 50+ years at the dirt tracks in N California whenever tragedy strikes. Wow this is just so awesome. I always hear how the Nascar motor home lot is more like a big family than anything else. I remember when Juan Pablo first came to Ganasi and was blown away by how everybody was in it together instead of 20 teams fighting each other all the time glad to see that spills over to the crew

Super dusty in here right now but i just wanted to say..... this is amazing. I rarely feel the urge to comment on posts but man, this one got me. I’m a NASCAR outsider sorta but i’ve been to many events and I can feel the kinship. There is something about this sport and demographic that exudes this type of sentiment.

And suddenly I care about how a nascar driver does in a race. Good on ya, team 42.

I’ve never been much of a NASCAR fan but I’ll be rooting for Kyle Larson moving forward, it’s amazing how meaningful the little things can be when times get tough.
