Because this lady lost her license, most likely for good reason, then threatened her family and the police with a gun and she was shot for it? Do not threaten people with firearms.

Removing her drivers license was the right idea.

She was shot for threatening a police officer with a firearm, not for losing her drivers license. Even a 93 year old can pull the trigger.

How many lives were saved by this?
I am not joking, last year we had an old lady make a kid an orphan when she drove into a restaurant and killed his parents and a waitress. She was never charged with any crime. She only lost her license.
