This story was such a confusing rollercoaster to read, especially from a site like Jez. Women shouldn’t have to shoulder the weight of birth control—> this man offered to do a thing so his wife, who dislikes taking the pill, wouldn’t have to shoulder the weight of birth control—> She could still just take the pill

It really sucks that we’ve reached the point where “we all” is however many super-online weirdos are outraged on Twitter. I heard about this story on Jezebel and honestly could not have overreacted less. So speak for yourselves and stop pretending “everyone” means “anyone.”

Yeah it’s a bit insulting to change “first vaginal orgasm” to “first orgasm”. For one, there are plenty of women who suffer from total or mostly anorgasmia so it’s at least somewhat plausible that she could have not had an orgasm. Two, it sends the message that vaginal orgasms are superior which is how you get guys

I can’t remember if she’s had babies, but the crazy thing is that after I had my 2, I swear to god my gspot moved FORWARD somehow, and I can have insane vaginal orgasms just from dick that I never could before. yay!

Going out on a limb and saying Kimmel wasn’t really expecting an honest answer and asked her that because it’s such a juxtiposition to her known work.

I’d wager not. These are the same people who watch Ru Paul’s Drag Race and think all those witty comebacks are spontaneous rather than the reality of someone feeding lines to Ru Paul via an earpiece.

I mean people know that this Q&A was scripted and cleared with the celebrities, right?

Again y’all are sleeping on RRR. I know I know, it’s a foreign movie and that alone turns some people off because it’s not a Marvel movie or whatever, but give it a chance and you’ll see why it easily won best song.

Not only this but she was literally just on NPR’s “Wait wait don’t tell me” and she was hilarious. She talked about a myriad of things and was candid about life as a Nobel winner. These twitter folks are asshole and I know that’s redundant.

I’m an older millenial. I definitely appreciate that it is less socially acceptable to insult and deride entire groups based on sexual orientation, race, etc. It is great that there is so much attention paid to being sensitive to the impact of our words on others.  But goddamn did we take getting offended too far.

The responses to that original Tweet are deranged and unhinged.

Maybe it’s a generational thing (I’m Gen X) but when did people stop being able to take a joke? And I’m not talking about Malala, everyone on a message board is so full of themselves and love to get offended on someone else’s behalf.

Holy shit that’s a terrible take, you’ve been hanging out with Candace haven’t you?

It is bizarre seeing someone who we tend to only know from her sacrifice and noble works, who has been elevated and put on a pedestal, and who is normally so composed taboot, being put on the spot and being asked to opine on the dumbest thing I can think of. It’s so out of place (a bit like when you’re a kid and you

Only because this is like the fifteenth time I’ve seen this misspelling on here and she’s a great actress, not a sister-fucking Lannister:

Yeah but I bet his wife never fucked his kid’s friend.

i think the message is ultimately this: in an ideal world, society should be providing the necessities, medical care, etc. by default that MrBeast has done in his videos. like, it’s not good that 20,000 kids didn’t have shoes in the first place, y’know?

repub 1: Let me tell you about this woman I know. High school drop out. 4 kids. Lives off the government dollar. Spouse spent time in jail. One of her 4 just got his girlfriend pregnant at age 17.

It takes three generations to get out of the trailer park.

This is so common in the area around my hometown in southern Illinois. My cousin had her first baby at age 14. That baby had his first at age 17. And that baby had their first at age 15. My 48 year old cousin is a fucking great grandma.
