See, I agree with you, but the problem is you are assuming that this is all obvious on it’s face to a lot of people, that Democrats have made this clear, and I don’t think we have.

Getting primaried; it’s somewhat unconventional to primary a sitting politician, and that needs to change (I’d potentially even extend this to the office of the President.) But once it’s (D) v. (R) on the ballot, the imperative needs to be to vote for (D).
