It’s a bit like porn v. art. You’ll know it when you see it.
Do you live in New Zealand? Is there an actual reason why you care or are you just being a dick?
The “fruit of the poisonous tree” metaphor is used in criminal prosecutions when authorities discover a piece of evidence as the result of an unconstitutional or otherwise improper search or seizure. In that case, the principle is applied to benefit a very specific, very concrete person: the defendant, whose freedom…
Besides that, do we want “I was not aware crimes were committed on my behalf so we’re cool, right?” to be a thing?
If my friend commits fraud and gets a ton of money, and lends me some money to start a business, and that business does very well... should I be disgorged of the assets and money I made via the business because the seed money came from the fraud? I mean, I understand having to pay back the loan... but if I turned $10k…
So your solution to not giving them the black mark of being kicked out for their parents’ fraud it to... given them a different black mark that will follow them for the rest of their professional lives? How is that more equitable than just kicking them out?
I think their spot at that particular school should go to someone who earned their way in. If they’ve participated in classes and their grades are good enough, they can apply to other schools and transfer those credits.

Watched the video just now to see how I felt about it (had written my comment not actually having watched the video in a while). I think it’s so completely fantastical and unrealistic that the repugnance of what his probable crimes just isn’t connecting with the literal horror movie monster on screen, or the horde of…
please tell me what you thought of the ‘redemption’ of Theo
Well that’s nice to hear.
The fact that it’s Okoye on the poster and not Shuri is mind blowing to me. Shuri has actually worn the fucking mantle of Black Panther in the comics—she could do so again for this movie (make herself a badass robot panther suit, or reverse engineer the black panther flowers—or both, or whatever). Okoye is like the…
