A creature at his size would need an enormous amount of muscle mass just to stand up. So.

Florida.

The thing is, a lot of the complaints about Superman are either untrue or a double standard.

It’s very disheartening because as a massive Superman fan, I recognize that it’s actually not that hard to do the character justice and be entertaining with it. The biggest problem Superman has is that far too many people believe there’s something wrong with him that needs fixing, both among audiences and people who

We’ll just have to disagree, because after all, this is the internet. And usually these things never go on for very long, or get heated, or anything like that.

I wonder where all the “religious liberty” nuts are now that someone’s actually had the audacity to carry out Deuteronomy 22:28-29 and did jail time for it.

Even if they were similar enough to compare them, and I still don’t believe for one second that they are, LxG isn’t even the first to do this sort of thing.

Except it wouldn’t. Because the genre is not the same. The story is not the same. The characters are not the same. The tone is not the same. The intent is not the same. I could go on and on. They have two basic things in common, it doesn’t mean that one is the same as the other.

The Little Rascals, from 1994.

I’m not a violent person but knowing that fills me with the desire to hit something.

I don’t get it. Penny Dreadful is pure gothic horror. Sure, it’s a crossover series with a bunch of other literary characters, but that doesn’t automatically make it anything comparable to LxG. They’re 19th century, they’re literary crossovers, and that’s about it.

Considering the director is in talks to direct the major new Halloween film, working with John Carpenter and Blumhouse, I’d say he impressed the right people.

Oh, so because they did it before, they can’t do it again now. Obviously if they did a lighter take today, it would be exactly the same as those films, because of course all of those films were also exactly the same.

Agreed. I’d say we’re ripe for a lighter take on Batman, too. Too bad WB had the opposite idea and decided to drag Superman through the mud and make everyone darker. Dumbasses.

Guys, I know you all want to see Snyder kicked to the curb, but unless he walks off himself, it’s not going to happen. He’s shooting the Justice League movie as we speak. He’ll have more people watching over him now, but there’s at least one more Snyder film we’ll have to deal with.

Damn straight it was. Don’t know where the writer’s coming from on that. Sounds like they didn’t actually watch the movie.

I’m not surprised you haven’t realized it. Given that horror literature is hardly ever covered by mainstream geek genre sites (the ones that cover literature at all anyway) it’s no surprise to me that things like this aren’t a bigger topic of discussion.
