driving with the cabin heat exchanger connected to the exhaust manifold?

sometimes i wonder, “has the peak of torchlopnik passed?

speaking of jalopnik-ish cars torch (maybe) doesn’t know about, I’m surprised i’ve never seen a jalopnik article on the Citroen E-mehari.

As i’ve said before, as an “Electric Car Company”, Tesla does the “company” part incredibly well, the “electric” part really good as well, but the “car” part is a bit, well, lacking?

perfect condition just means that it’ll look nice in 2 years time when the engine needs another rebuild.

what’s with you winga-dinga americans and your “if the bed ain’t 10 hamburgers long, it’s useless!” thing? a 5ft tub on a ranger is perfectly usable for 90% of jobs, most longer things (pipes, planks of wood, etc.) can just go on the roofrack, and anything larger than that is what trailers are for.
I’m especially

put a lycoming o-720 flat-8 engine in there, keep the aero theme going!

the 50's: everything is chrome in the future!
the 80's: everything is computers in the future!
the 20's: everything is electric in the future!

I would love to say yes, but it’s $2000 overbudget for Lemons.

compared to a honda D16 with a misfire and a cheap fartcan? it sounds way better.
a Chrysler 440, or an original lamborghini V12? ok, i’d agree with you there.

there you go. in 20 years time, cut the floorpan out of this, and put it into a mustang II body.
modern performance with malaise styling.

replace the front axle with a similar subframe to the rear, and you’d have a jeep which handles like a supercharged fiero.

and because it was representative of the horrible meagre existance they lived under the soviet union.

why not the galant, or even the Starion?

a 4 door FR car with a huracan V10, and retro espada styling? i’m in.

i’m pretty sure everyone who grew up in east germany would disagree with you.

even just take the existing design, stiffen up the crash structure/interior, blend the bumpers in, and put some existing hybrid drivetrain in it, perhaps from a ford fusion or something.

yeah, a cab forward design to replace the 90's express/astrovan, with some subtle retro styling, and a floorpan set up for either a conventional ICE, or maybe even a battery tray.

a modernised cosmo would be amazing. An updated 13b/renesis, along with the rumoured straight 6 engines would be a perfect fit. (though i’d go for more of a series II front end, it’s a bit closer to mazda’s moderns design.)

Bring back the VW Beetle, but instead of being a golf-based-sort-of-audi-tt-thing, take the ID3's electric platform, shrink it to polo size, and make a basic, cheap electric car. (maybe call it the ID1?)
