Ok stupid question. Is medical debt something that the average American worries about? Does it depend of where you live and what employer you have?

I’m still not over it. This man literally saved my life. He and I had a conversation late one night when I was in a dark place and something he said to me gave me enough to keep going. I just wish someone could have done the same for him.

I never understand the sentiment of firing a coach on a team that is clearly in rebuilding mode. It just feels like a PR move to keep fans placated during the rebuilding, the Bulls aren’t really any better or worse this year than we thought they’d be so to fire him now is an odd choice.

This was quite clearly written by some one from an area of the country where “cold cuts” means something very different than it does here. The lunch meat I pick up at the store isn’t just cut from “something resembling ham” its cut from an actual ham. Boneless yes but its just a ham. And it aint cheep the average…

I’m all for personal responsibility and all, but at some point, this is the city’s responsibility... I mean, you’re not suppose to drive off the edge of the road, but we still put up guardrails... etc. 

Funny how many people here hate Nancy Pelosi becuase they think she’s a conservative when in fact she’s a lot more liberal in her voting record than Splinter’s favorite senate candidate Beto O’Rourke.  In fact there’s only 26 members who would be considered more liberal.

So, basically, she worked to mesh together the desires of disparate groups of people and succeeded well enough to get buy in from most of them to move forward.

The author of that story (I read it last week) was on a solipsistic rumination about himself and what he perceived as his role in destroying a business he loved.

I’m probably in the minority, but this does nothing for me and I owned a JK.
