In the Social Distortion vein, I really like Mike Ness’ solo version of “Don’t Think Twice” (he omits the parenthetical “It’s Alright” from the title).

Wild that it wasn’t on here. I suspect, as someone else commented, that it’s so ubiquitous the author might not have even realized it was a cover.

Now playing

I showed up to the article too late for anyone to read my comment, I’m sure, but my favorite cover of Kate Bush is the Futureheads’ take on “Hounds of Love.”

Siouxsie’s take on “The Passenger” is pretty good, although I dunno if I’d have put it on this list because I don’t think it particularly elevates or offers a new spin on the original.

It was like #9 on the “worst covers” list, ha. I’m not a Disturbed fan, but I think the cover is fine, as is their “Land of Confusion.” Not bad enough to be “worst,” anyway.

Two of my favorites that didn’t make this list:

“all 6-f00t-3 of him”

Yes, indeed. There’s no way they could’ve made a show around a one-note character who mostly takes shits and fucks players’ moms.

I think Letterkenny fell off a bit around the time they moved to Hulu.

The first six episodes of season two are just an incredible run. “Afternoon Delight” and “Good Grief” are probably my favorites. (Also, the Friends goofing continues for the first three— after “The One Where Michael Leaves,” there’s “The One Where They Build a House,” which seems to establish a pattern... and then the

And, of course, not only could they not bother to get any actual girls for the video, but it’s Lindsay and Tobias. And of course of course, the Bluths still haven’t bothered to get a second videotape.

You passed!

What a perfect example of how Michael is so self-absorbed he’s just as oblivious as any other Bluth.

Yeah, one of my favorite things about the show is that Michael is just as rotten, self-involved, and manipulative as the rest of them. It becomes really evident in the Netflix seasons, but it’s there from the beginning, particularly in how he treats George Michael. (Especially in season 2, between how Michael regards A

The first six episodes of season 2 are just dynamite, but this one is probably my favorite of them all. GOB’s speech, all the weird incest karaoke, Ann’s creepy uncle or whoever, “maybe I’ll put it in her brownie,” Buster dropping GOB into the ocean, Lucille hitting Tobias with a car...

“Get rid of the Seaward.
“I’ll leave when I’m good and ready.”

I love how anyone who has Franklin just still performs the character. Such a weird touch and so very Bluth.

Yeah, I wasn’t sure how the hell they could turn the character Shoresy into a successful Shoresy, but they sure as hell did-- I’ve been very pleased with both seasons.

Honestly, I think it shares some DNA with King of the Hill-- both shows about a very traditionalist guy exasperated with the nonsense going on around him and his three best friends; also both shows that understand that small towns are often full of complete lunatics.

I don’t know who you mean by “us,” since your participation here seems to be imagining what other people are saying and then snarking at that. So I’m just going to leave you to continue to have both sides of this conversation with yourself.
