I agree. Bay is a poor fit for Lobo. Bloodwulf would be more his speed.

Lobo is supposed to be a parody of the hyperviolent, hypermasculine anti-heroes that became popular after Wolverine. In the hands of Michael Bay, however...I don’t think he would understand the “parody” part of it.

See, I disagree tgat Bay is perfect for this. In fact, he’s totally wrong. Why? Because Lobo is a PARODY. He is a caricature of the 90s Liefeldian anti-hero. Any Lobo movie would have to be a self-aware action-comedy, à la Deadpool.

Guess what? A person with a mental disability isn’t absolved of any responsibility for their behavior.

You realize that, with the exception of the swordfighting, all of that criticism applies to Luke Skywalker, right? Who was passionately kissed by his sister because there was no overall storyline/plan/arc of the movies?

I stopped reading comics a while back, but when I did, I was a big fan of Killian Plunkett’s work on Star Wars comics. Gobs of detail. It doesn’t look exactly like the actors, but I can tell who it is at a glance. Apologies for the large artwork.

Wonder Woman being over The Dark Knight is insanity, I get recency bias but come on guys. It was good, it wasn’t better then one of the best super hero films of the last decade. Actually six through two being over it is kind of crazy and I think Logan has potential for acting Academy Awards if the Academy were smart…
