The Last Jedi is the best of the Disney Star Wars movies, too.

Man, I LOVED his takes on Star Wars with The Last Jedi. Still bummed that The Rise of Skywalker, despite having lot of great stuffs and ideas in it, ruined what made that movie great with its themes that would have elevate the franchise to newly unexplored places. Oh well.

“SNK was acquired by a group of Chinese companies in 2015"

It’s heartbreaking, but not really surprising given how rushed the script was. They let go of Colin Trevorrow and instead of using his script or, you know, just pushing the movie back a year, they insisted on writing something from scratch in a fairly short time frame.

Fuck the haters, The Last Jedi is objectively the best movie of the sequel trilogy and is far better than all the prequels and is a decent movie in its own right.

Now that the whole sequel trilogy is out, along with a couple of anthology movies, it’s clear that The Last Jedi is the one film in the Disney era that most truly matches Lucas’s intent and vision for what Star Wars actually means.

I actually like how Adam Driver played Ben post-Kylo Ren, so I would keep in the redemption, but have it last longer and not kill him off. Like, if Palpatine takes over, have Palpatine take over and have Kylo decide to team up with Rey to kill Palpatine from the first act of the movie. Have him do it for selfish

But Abrams didn’t want to move on from the past and the movie suffered greatly for it.

God, I wish they had just let Kylo be the villain and gave Finn an arc that let him use his past to inspire a revolt. Hell, they could have even left his Force Sensitivity in and let him end the movie as Rey’s first apprentice.

Yes - the lore is phenomenal!

I think the right answer is that looking at it through his eyes it’s easy to see how that was probably the intent that Lucas was going for, but that the movie is hampered by a lot of flaws that make it hard to pull those thoughts/themes out of the movie. For all the jokes about the movie being about a trade dispute,

We’ve always been told that Lucas had built through lines in the Prequel trilogy that explain events in the original trilogy, but Lucas isn’t a good enough director to put it all together in a way where you can see that.

Intent vs. impact. That’s all I’ll say.

A million times this. They registered in random island nations to avoid paying taxes and so they could pay their workers next to nothing. Fuck em. Hope they all go belly up.

Let them register their ships stateside and pay taxes and then we’ll look into giving them assistance in a year or two.

No article on cruise lines is complete without mentioning how much they pollute, and how often they get caught dumping trash at sea.

It’s absolutely insane how prescient this game was regarding information warfare. I remember having my mind blown at the “context vs. content” discussion and explanation of how memes work. Those of us who played MGS2 and paid attention were not all that surprised by the 2016 and Brexit elections.

The Rise Of Skywalker’s script is holding some incredible story secrets”
Just kidding.....it’s a trite, shallow ,pandering piece of sub-fanfiction.

It’s a bit painful to read these RoS BTS. So much love and care and detail in service of such a shit finale.

As games get older I fund it funny how old some of these characters are technically supposed to be. But As the article states I don’t mind - these character designs are largely timeless and while new iterations can change aspects they generally don’t undergo massive changes that would make people suddenly reject the

Even the completionist in me is really debating whether I really *need* to make room on the shelf.
