I would love a study. But I’ve always felt that it was one or the other. Like, if you watch Tyson Chandler, he doesn’t think he committed even one foul ever, but I don’t remember him flopping.

Porzingis was absolutely selling a few calls last night, but every one of them was a legitimate foul, despite all the times Dwyane Wade complained. Wade’s a unique player who both flops and believes he’s never actually committed a foul himself. Usually you get one but not the other.

That’s totally fair. To each his own. I couldn’t imagine trying to get serious sports analysis, like what one might get from a blog (not this one) with the comments IN the blog itself as opposed to the bottom. It would make it rather infuriating.

Good memory! I almost always am streaming NY Sports Radio, but I used to occasionally listen to LeBetard’s show on 790. I’m a huge LeBetard fan, whether it’s radio, tv, print or even hall-of-fame ballots. I almost never have turned 560 on, but I remember I had a student who would listen to it every morning with her

I have to admit, the very few times I’ve listened, LaGreca has grown on me. I’d listen if he had his own show. I find Kay unlistenable, though. Maybe because of my own childhood aversion to the Yanks (although, I admit, I don’t hate them like I used to).

I find that so few hosts have anything worth saying that the best part is the calls. If they were smarter, than for sure I would listen. That’s why I listen to podcasts; for smart hosts and good interviews. There’s just so little of that on AM/FM radio.

I loved watching that Spurs win and seeing the “Heatles” era come to close before everyone’s eyes.

Could you imagine if they did? I might actually listen!

The calls are by far the best part of Francesa’s show. In fact, his second, post-Mad Dog career has been fueled by callers pranking him/callers earnestly believing dumb things. With Dog, they had interesting interviews and, of course, the arguments they had with each other. When it’s just Mike, he stays relevant

Yeah, about a year ago, Jackson did some dumb interview where he talked about James, and while (if I remember correctly) most of the interview was complimentary of James, he did criticize his friends and referred to them as a “posse”. James took offense to this, and fired back at Jackson, and implied Jackson’s use of

Yes, as I would call anyone who protested a depiction of an American figure somewhere else.

That’s a good point, and fits in with the entire Simpsons tone. Actually, I would argue that Lisa can be caricature herself. While she is often the voice of reason, she gets occasionally becomes holier-than-thou or takes up silly causes. In essence, the criticism is that while Liberals (of which she is clearly the

That can go unsaid, every person here ought to know that LeBron is as gifted an athlete to ever play the sport, and he has done some impressive stuff with his community.

Is that actually what got Clone High cancelled? I had no idea.

That’s honestly an astute observation. MJ and Kobe, at least from appearances, are pretty terrible. They are selfish and narcissistic, and I could never imagine wanting to hang out with either one of them. I’ll admit that LeBron has some humanity to him, and has had his moments. That almost makes it worse when he does

Too bad that old bar burned down “accidentally”.

I don’t know what’s more impressive, your memory that this strip existed or the work done by Doonesbury to create this entire narrative. Either way, truly a fantastic job by all parties.

See, Jordan and Kobe were absolutely spiteful, but they never came across as petty to me. Maybe that’s just the age we live in, and if MJ were playing in 2017, he’d be subtweeting some year old meme of a children’s cartoon show as well. Shaq, I saw as petty. Jordan and Kobe, though, I saw them as just psychopaths who

I did a 180 on James during The Decision, like many, and went from liking him to despising him. The Mavericks Game 2 comeback in the 2011 Finals is one of the great sports moments I can recall, and I still remember where I was during the Game 5 of that series, celebrating with my friends. And none of us were Mavs
