I’m a fan of any list that contains as many items as this, just so I can go look for #69.

I was very bearish (like the opposite of bullish?) on the Nets heading into the season, even with Lin. Like, I was hearing people say they could win 30-35 games, which I thought was laughable. To me, they were gonna be closer to 20. I didn’t think Russell and Lin would mesh (and we won’t know this season if they would

One of the best parts of this that went unmentioned (and you were right about how shitty the Cavs are) is that the Nets, who they lost to, aren’t looking that bad! That pick, which was as big an asset in the Irving trade as Thomas, looks like it might be in the 6-10 range, as opposed to 1-5. That’s a huge drop,

It’s not even white privilege

I actually know someone who does stand for the anthem while watching. Removes his cap and stops speaking. Just the one person, and I’m pretty sure he’s doing it “ironically” on some level, but still.

Not trying to make any political point here, but I love how happy Kim Davis is here. Like, if you told me this was the photo of her graduating high school at the age of 50 or winning $100 scratch-off, I would believe you. That’s pure joy right there.

I’m a fan of all those actors, so it may very well be worth my time to see that.

You know what? I never saw that movie.

Oy vey, what a chutzpah this guy is. If Eli Manning had “jew luck”, do you really think he’d be such a shlemiel? This meshugener is full of bubke; Eli’s a goy if I ever saw one.

Now imagine how much he had to have drank in order to have driven off that bridge and left that woman to die in a car.

It’s absolutely the defender. Backs practice dragging weights while running. Linebackers don’t practice being dragged along the ground.

I appreciate the thought you put into that, but I have some disagreements.

Shit, him and Obama are the only two of the last five Presidents of any party to not be a serial sexual assaulter. But, depending on what party one supports, one will overlook at least one of these serial sexual assaulters.

Your first thought there was right.

I’ll be honest with you, it’s been a decade since I saw Major League. Maybe I need to try it again. I’m always willing to test my opinions and see if they still hold up later, and it sure as hell wouldn’t be the first time I was wrong.

Has it worked? I’ve never actually seen it or know much about it. But, I’ll take your word for it. Doesn’t excuse the other couple dozen times it hasn’t worked, but maybe it’s worth studying why it did well there.

I like stadiums too. As I told someone else, I’m a season ticket holder to a college football team. Live sports are great (except the NFL), and I support those things. Hell, I wouldn’t even mind if some of my tax dollars went to support a local team I supported. The issue is that not everyone feels the way I do, and

As a single, late 20's white male (my God, people must hate me for even saying that), I’m probably the ideal target for a stadium. I’m a college football season ticket holder, and I go to a several other games from various sports (although I stay away from the NFL, as I’d rather watch that on TV) in a given year. I

I’ve been to a couple Tigers games when I was in the area, and it didn’t look terrible revitalized. I’ve seen parts of Detroit that ARE “coming back”, but they don’t seem to be particularly close to the stadium district (although this new stadium is a little farther away than the other two).

The only industry it’s good for is construction. Which obviously goes away once the building is completed. And construction could obviously be helped by construction of more useful buildings instead.
