well for starters we have the Capcom leak from a couple weeks ago referenced in this very article where Sony forbid Resident Evil 8 from being put on gamepass. you can also look to the rollout of the PS+ expansion where they required developers to give every top tier subscriber a 2 hour trial without compensation or

That’s kind of Microsoft’s point, actually. Sony is telling Brazil “them getting exclusivity on COD is unfair”. And one of Microsoft’s rebuttals was “you do it too, you know”, and the other one was actually “you don’t care about COD exclusivity like you claimed because you already know we won’t do it - you’re really sc

The difference is that Microsoft putting a game on GamePass isn’t actively preventing said game from appearing on a competing service or platform. ;)

Says the company that’s hoovering up the major developers on North America to do this exact same crap.

But if Microsoft is allowed to pay a developer to have their thing on game pass at release, shouldn’t Sony be allowed to pay someone to have the game only on Sony platforms (and maybe PC)? Isn’t it essentially the same thing?

I think a lot of people tend to forget that while Microsoft is a big company they are NOT the market leader in the video games industry. that title is held by Sony and they have used that clout time and time again to keep competition low.

Slideshows and video posts will never get more than 1 click from me and then a variation of this comment.

I beat the game a few days ago. I absolutely adore this game. Now I’m just finding the remaining graces, catacombs and caves with bosses. It’s amazing how big this game is, just when you think you’ve seen all it has to offer you’re surprised by another discovery. It’s the game that keeps on giving.

It’s part of his storyline. Attack him until he “backs off” and then reset the board and he’s fine. If he’s too powerful, something like rot, silver mist or poison works. You can also hide behind the door from the outside, and move out to snipe and then hide. It’s triggered after the fourth deathroot I think. If

Oh thank god. So, I get the idea of introducing multiplayer in principle. But it was like, the most socially awkward interraction. Invading PVPers worlds and being ‘Sorry, not here to fight, I just want to farm in the Mogh area so. Just kill me a few times please’ kinda wasted everyone’s time.

Quick correction: only the Ash of War version of Glintstone Pebble (the one you can attach to weapons) was nerfed. The standalone spell is untouched.

Trade Spanfeller for Schreier. Easiest decision in the world.

it sounds like this Jason Schreier guy wrote an informative article about this topic.  Maybe this site should consider hiring him...?

Just a reminder that the best way to experience Diablo IV is to delete your Battle.net account and then never talk about Blizzard again!

Not having a permanent address closes a lot of doors, “a year or two of rent” is pretty major.

I used to think that DI had a problem... but now I see it’s actually genius.

It’s like our capitalist hellscape - people spend their money to acquire the power to abuse others and trivialize all of life’s meaningful moments... except that unlike life, in DI there’s a built in system to quarantine your stupid ass with

“YES! I HAVE CRUSHED EVERY MEMBER OF MY FAMILY IN CHESS! I AM SUPREME!”
[5 min later] “C’mon guys. Doesn’t someone wanna play me in chess? Please?!”

I’m assuming there is some degree of fraud that goes into leading players into believing that microtransactions will benefit them and their gameplay experience, only to exclude players from the content that the transactions were supposed to make better.

Personally, if there’s any regulation in gaming, it should be
