Totally, BG3 can’t tell when you accidentally clicked on a team mate by accident and when you do it on purpose for whatever reason so when it happens I sometimes reload. I turn on the outline characters/enemies so I can see them clearly in combat when they’re atop one another. 

When I was a DM I knew which people would be upset if their characters died and which ones would roll with it and have fun. I always fudged the dice rolls for those who would be distraught over their characters dying so their characters always just survived--sometimes with a cost for survival like a beloved weapon…

So instead of policing how people enjoy a game you’re going to police how people deploy metaphors? Seems petty and pointless.
