I never really cared for Charles, but he was on Breakfast the other day talking about how he planted trees for each of the grandkids so they could see how they grew, and he built them this adorable magic fairyland tree house, and it was all pretty darn cute.

Idk, while I understand your feelings, and am also an independent (not American) voter, it kind of feels like when a deadbeat dad only sees his kid at Christmas then gets confused about why he doesn't have a say in where they go to college. Personally I feel like I don't take on the responsibility of being a party

But...primaries are party processes. I don’t understand why the default assumption should be that non-party members participate in party-specific processes. I get that you want to just participate where you feel like it, but surely you understand why primaries are not always open to independents?

Counterpoint: Why should people who aren’t in the party and don’t identify with the party get to pick who the party runs as a candidate? Why should the preference of some non-member who doesn’t show up for the party in elections have the same weight as that of somebody who identified with the party strongly enough to

Why? Parties are made of volunteers, donors and local leaders working together to get their favorite candidates elected. Why should you, as an independent, have a say in who my party puts forward as our candidate?

Honestly I find it crazier than Independents think they can vote in party primaries. Do you all think we choose parties on our registrations just for funsies? What else is that process for if not to RSVP your spot for primaries and conventions?

Dude. I’m a Bernie supporter. You are doing us no favors. Cut it out and be nice.

Actually, yes, at least for a woman. As one of those “elderly” over 45 voters, the conventional wisdom for years and years and years was that if a woman ever wanted to be US President, she’d need to be, if not a Republican, at least a conservative (Thatcher would be brought up), especially when nearly every past

Bernie supporters are passionate and engaged. Hillary supporters are passionate and engaged. As a longtime New York democrat, I never thought this was going to end differently here. We elected her to the Senate twice, the second time in a landslide. She was a fabulously effective legislator for NY, it would have taken

My heart goes out to Lily Allen and other victims of stalking. There needs to be a better way of protecting victims. Their reports need to be taken seriously by the police.

felony sexual conduct against a child under age 13

Yep. Done.

If you are not planning on immediately firing your gun, then you shouldn’t put bullets into it.

I was too. I mean, if the five-year-old had pulled the trigger, it wouldn’t have been in cold blood. Why would your first thought be to “punish” her to make it look like she did it? News flash dad, it still would have been your fault. Maybe the charges wouldn’t have been as numerous, but it still would have been your

I agree with this statement. If your gun has a safety, you know what the fuck it is for.

Could we have, like, an allowed timeframe for news like this? Business hours if you will. It's too fucking early for all-around awful shit like this.

When you take out your loaded gun with the fucking safety off and wave it around in a roomful of children, then any shooting that results is intentional.

Parenting licenses, really?

This is sad on so many levels. A little girl is dead, she was killed in front of her siblings, and then one of them was blamed for it at first. I’m so tired of hearing about how gun owners are so responsible, when these tragedies happen all the time.

Until we start treating these shootings as something other than “accidents,” they will continue. This man should be charged with second degree murder.
