Well at least if they fall into the river they'll be safe. Fat floats!

Oh man, thank you for posting this. I've never seen the show before but now I'm stuck in the timeless Youtube zone of watching an endless amount of clips from the show. I may just start watching it in full now!
But then Gizmodo would be down a senior editor!
Yup, I'm at university. It does help that I'm a film major, and that the majority of my teachers don't ever use the books, but I've been able to get by all of my GE classes without cracking open a book, mostly A's and B's. I have a friend whose a bio-chem major and I don't think he would be able to not get books.

Ugh. This is the kind of crap that gets made when old companies want to get on that "hip, web-2.0" bandwagon. It looks cheesy, it's hard to immediately discern that the two letters make of "DC," and it utterly fails the black-and-white-solids test. Please go back to the old logo :(
I can't even afford regular textbooks, let alone Apple's stuff. I think that last year I have purchased one textbook, and only because the class required tearing out workbook pages from the text and turning them in. Other than that, I just take notes and attend every class. Doing just fine so far.
In this case, I don't think it's wrong. They cop was willing to steal these things himself, no one forced his hand. If the police coerced him into doing something illegal and then arrested him, then yes that would be wrong. Similar to planting evidence on a crime scene to frame someone. However, as it stands, the cop…
The sad truth is that it doesn't effect most people personally. You want people to protest a bill? You take away their Wikipedia and cat pictures.
I guess the captain just wanted to leave a good tip!
On a humorous side note, musician Jose Gonzales is in fact Swedish, though the name would have you think otherwise. (Alright so he is half Argentine but we'll just ignore that :P)
Eh. The only other C&H tribute I really like was Hobbes & Bacon.
A lot of people in this thread are crying out that this crap is okay because "sex sells." It's not okay because sex sells. No one here is arguing that these tactics don't work; however it becomes a problem when companies feel the only way to get people (read: men) to their booths is to have tits hovering around them.…
"You got a beef with objectifying a specific sex, put some "booth bros" out there for the women and make it equally objectifying."
Why would it matter if any particular woman found this sexist or not? It's not like she would be representing the female gender as a whole. You don't have to be female to find this offensive, and I think it would be just as dumb to have shirtless hunks standing around selling products. Frankly, to say to me that I…
So is Dick Smith like a black smith only dirtier?
Dammit, now I'm going to spend the next several hours reading through all of these...
