Honestly I enjoyed Rampage more than Ready Player One. At least the former knew what it was about and stuck to it, and the Rock has way more chemistry with a CGI gorilla than did the romantic leads of RPO.

Honestly, now with the popularity of MoviePass, putting big budget shows like GoT into theaters makes a lot of sense. Previously no one would spend the money seeing the show every week in theaters, but on a plan like MP it would put a lot of butts into seats.
