Houston is not the most ethncially diverse city, #1 is Jersey City #3 is New York.....Houston is 16th. by great food you mean great BBQ. New Orleans will kick Houston’s ass in food and music as will Nashville. Theater and Museums? you want to compare to New York? this is preposterous.

why would you want to go to a vineyard in Texas?

I used to live in Omaha. That city had a bigass rendering plant which made the city smell like cat food.

I now live in Chicago, where is pretty easy to have a car and I do, but what’s amazing is being able to step out of my apartment and stroll a few blocks to a dozen restaurants. I’d forgotten how angry driving makes me.

I was fortunate enough to escape New Orleans about 12 hours before Hurricane Katrina made landfall in 2005. The drive on I-10 to Houston, normally 5 or 6 hours, took us 12. When we arrived, exhausted and scared, we looked around. Then we decided to drive another 8 hours to reach Austin.

I know there’s a lot of Boston hate on this site and I’m biased because I live in Boston, but there’s no way Boston should be ranked lower than Memphis.

I’m not pissed off. I’m just drunk.

Atlanta is the Strip Club capital of the US.

I’m sure they’re somehow getting screwed.
Someone is, somewhere; that’s how privatization works.

The apology came from US Navy Vice Admiral William McRaven himself. Got anything else to say?

Putinbots have gotten so brazen that they now actively advertise their purpose in their usernames. So meta.

So legitimate that he leveled AAA on his own people. Then bombed them. Then gassed them.

Your wrong. Yes there is a ton of risk and everyone knows it, but to fold the inevitable risk into and cover up avoidable screw ups that lead to these deaths is outrageous. This was avoidable and people on the ground were trying to stop if from happening. I’m for going to Mars, and doing so on a big scale which might

USS America should’ve painted the pigs with numbers 1, 2, and 4. Leave the Kennedy crew looking for pig 3.

The Vincennes was not hit by an Iranian missile.

I actually can’t disagree, but from my point of view I’m watching what is potentially the most moderate Iranian govt. drive down the road that alienated them previously, without any backward glance. It’s nonsensical.

I have no doubt your analysis is absolutely correct. Look at the timing of this in relation to the shipping of radioactive material to Russia for safe-keeping. One loss of face here, one saving of face there. It’s so childish it makes you want to scream when educated adults are making these decisions...

here are powerful factions in that both countryies that are fuming over that deal, and that is a dangerous thing.

Yes, exactly. This could have gone the other way easily. This is when it likely comes down to the person in the big chair.
