They left out Larry Storch who died at 99 last year. He made countless films and its a shame to see he left out.  If only the Academy did as good as TCM when it comes to the in memoriam.

I'm glad that such a swing for the fences as EEAAO is being so handsomely rewarded, but I must say I found the film fairly tiresome.

Peter: Holy crap, Lois, this is even worse than the time I lived in that small Alaskan town!

Counterpoint: he sounds perfectly fine, and it’s only a combination of video game nostalgia and “worst Chris” memes that this is a thing to begin with.

This is going to sound strange, but watching the trailer I realize what I really want from this show is for Roy Kent to be happy

Actually, the disabled community has A LOT of beefs with Family Guy, and his character is a big one. Regardless of your feelings one way or another, I guarantee you that he’s been criticized and asked to apologize about the show quite a bit.

Reminds me of how how Margaret Atwood was so against her novels being called ‘science fiction’. Like, it clearly is, why pretend?

I understand the desire to update these stories so a new generation of kids aren’t reading about harmful stereotypes, but editing a dead author’s work is extremely gross and sets a terrible precedent. I don’t need “updated language” when I read an older book. Erasing the sins of the past is also a good way to avoid

Colossal has a great performance from him of toxic masculinity, and a strong one about alcoholism too with Anne Hathaway. Its underrated to me—which is weird, because I actually don’t like it as I think the central conceit was poorly executed.

Yeah, I mean, he’s considered to be a competent and charming comedic actor. He’s had some good dramatic roles (Colossal for example) but I don’t know who’s out there saying that he’s so good that “titanically overrated” is a reasonable response.

Holy shit you’re cool!

Same author, same day:

So just to be clear: we're supposed to hate Jason Sudeikis because of a report from a former nanny that both he and Olivia Wilde denied was true, and also because a process server did their job? Even for present-day AV Club, this is a shockingly bad take.

what a weirdly hostile reaction to what sounds like a healthy and respectful dialogue between two creative professionals who have worked together for multiple years

“that’s when you walk away from the job not ask the job to change itself...”

There are too many crazy people on the internet to hold celebrities responsible for their fans’ behavior. Each of us is responsible for our own actions. I know when Snyder participated in some sort of online charity streaming event thing he criticized some group that had been supportive of him (in order to distinguish

While they can speak to similar issues of representation, I’m not sure Azaria voicing Apu (and the question of whether voice actors need to match, loosely or precisely, the ethnicity or background of their characters) actually relates much to changing the backgrounds or traits of a live action character (you could be

Controversial take: People should tell the truth.

Honestly while I like James Gunn suicide squad Waller was worse in his version than the first movie. Like she just lets her own employees knock her out, without consequences, that would never happen. The first movie got it right that she would kill her own employees to keep secrets. I am not excited for Waller if it’s

In the interview it’s clear that’s what he means. He wants his friend to be innocent because he wants to believe he didn’t do these things but that Masterson should be punished if he did. Of course, being found innocent wouldn’t mean Masterson wasn’t guilty, but Kutcher is basically saying, “I’ll go by whatever the
