The biggest evidence I have of that is Spartacus. Episode 1 was SO BAD. But that series is one of the best I've seen. Campy yes, but damn the plot twists and character development.

Just gonna say Arrow didn't start out hitting homeruns either. We'll see where this show goes. I thought the Wayne murder scene was done particularly well.

Being South Asian myself, brides do wear something similar, called a tikli and those don't move much unless you're doing something physically rigorous activity wise. But I do think paste/makeup glue can be used to secure the jewel/centerpiece.
