The worst part of auto enthusiast sites’ commentary is the groupthink, especially the idea that everyone else enjoys cars in the same way the commenter does.

This is an absolute NP for a tidy little hardtop convertible that looks to be in good cosmetic and mechanical shape. They’re unique enough that I still take a nice long look whenever I see one parked or driving around. Quirky top, quirky interior, quirky 5 cylinder engine.

NOW we need an etymologist.

I’ve positively identified it as David Tracy’s next car.

Wouldn’t need it anymore. As unstable as these are at speed, giving it that much additional power means the airbag would be using YOU as protection from the driver’s seat.

I don’t imagine getting bored with a drop-top big-block Corvette in this earthly existence, so technically speaking the kids would get my money back—maybe by selling the car, maybe from insurance if my demise and the car’s occurred in the same instant of slightly too enthusiastic enjoyment, which is hardly a nonzero

Oh, I should mention that in my ownership, it hit the coveted “2BOOBS” mile marker.

Ah ha ha ha ha ha ha! He’s in no rush. Good.

I don’t know why people put so much weight on number of owners, especially since the numbers on a carfax report are inflated anyway. You can easily have a 2-owner car that shows six on the carfax because it tracks the chain of dealer custodies.

Yeah, but did he fix the burnt out daytime running light?  (they all have a burnt out DRL)

Let me just characterize the GMT800s once and for all:

In a car this light, it would have been fine. There is no amount of upgrades you can do to a TH-125 to make it handle what is going on here.

The repair shop fleeces him would certainly explaining the $5000 of restoration costs.

You just say that because if you did own a TR7, you’d be walking anyway.

“Need” went out the window a long time ago with this project. Not boosting it to 2500hp would be a half measure at this point, you already did all this work and you’re gonna leave it at stock power levels? Why? Even stock it’s totally undriveable, might as well crank it up to 11.

Seems to me that one group voiced their free speech rights, and another smaller group voiced theirs and the former ran from the latter.

Maybe the pilot has just had a long fucking day and wants to have a cigarette in peace without a bunch of whiny bitch-ass passengers complaining about the smell and how smoking and flying is “dangerous” and you should have your hands at 10 and 2 or whatever on the yoke. I mean, fuck off.

This would have been a perfect opportunity for that one Gritty meme that reads:

“Jeep and Ford can’t BOTH sue us. That’s a law, I think.”

Wait until he buys a golf-cart, sight-unseen, to drive 2,000 miles to pick up an old canoe and convert it to electric!
