Spending that money to optimize all of the bus routes to minimize wasted time, etc. is a good use of money.  Those are not easy calculations to do and sometimes, what laypeople come up with sound good, but don’t work worth a damn when the rubber actually meets the road.

You shouldn’t even need to tap. Plug in the car and have it handshake, including sending payment information. No thought or effort required.

That’s 2lbs per square foot.  Building codes are already way above that for wind, snow, rain.  Hell, just having the roof strong enough to have someone walk on it requires 100lbs/ft2.

We do bridge inspections at my company. Typically smaller bridges/culverts that you don’t even notice when you drive over them. I pay my people well, but I lose the contracts to someone paying minimum wage for professional engineers to inspect.

And on the day you the inspections need to be done, you had a 126.8 miles of track that should have been walked???
