House near me that exploded. Wasn’t a water bottle, but a crystal hanging in the window. That started a fire, which then caused the oxygen cylinder in the house to explode.

It seems like it would make construction of the vehicle much easier this way.

I was driving one day with the sun roof out.  A retread on a semi blew on the far side of the truck.  Pieces of rubber dropped in through my sunroof.  Very glad it wasn’t on my side that the tire blew.

Agreed.  People who don’t actually do this sort of work never know what it should cost.  After they tweak the prototype and cover the development costs, I could see these being in the $4-5K installed range.

On the plus side, it does look like inventory levels are starting to come back up.

We have to ensure that we don’t let perfect be the enemy of done.  Lots of people will argue why electric won’t work for them.  Fine.  It works for others.  We need a full range of solutions to fix the problem that we are in.  Any step forward is a good step.

More than once, I have said in a load voice something along the lines of “Hey, did you know that they closer you get to the carousel, the faster your luggage arrives?” I’ve seen several people take a few steps back at that point.

I do love taking the roundabout in my car. When I drive my wife’s SUV, it forces me to slow to almost a stop because of the body roll.

They can remove the charger. That is the cheap part of installing the system. The hard part is getting it permitted, upgrading the power system and bringing the wires to the correct location.  Those will still all be there regardless of what charger exists or doesn’t exist.  Infrastructure remains.
