They’re very cool; just perfect little sharks. That are a lot closer to beaches full of people in the summer than I think most people realize. They’re absolutely not dangerous, but having seen them countless time in less than 30ft/10m off such beaches, I am sure the casual swimmer isn’t aware.

Justin speaks, like many Québecers, with a slight anglo accent when speaking French, and with a French-Canadian accent when speaking English. This is something I witnessed with some of my friends who were otherwise fluent, they just pick up some of the mannerisms and inflections they are bathed in every day.

You forgot Six Gill Sharks & dogfish! :D

Of course they wouldn’t attack Canadians. They’re alpha predators, not assholes.

The butterfly effect: George W Bush scraped dung of his boot while clearly by rush at his ranch, and nine years later Trump is President.

Seems more like a very fragile orange snowflake causing the tweetshitstorm.

I find myself be-Poe-ddled. Can this possibly be real?

Haha- that is great satire of Trump supporter. Really nailed the ignorance, kudos.

You realize that means out there, somewhere, a butterfly tweeting on twitter is causing all of this.

Scientists have been warning for years that unless we did something about climate change, we’d see more, and worse, tweetstorms.

I’ll take the word of the former CIA Acting Director, with 32 years of experience working in intelligence and several of those at the upper echelons, who says this was espionage if any other individual working in the government had done it.

Pleeeeeeeeeease let it happen. And soon enough.

I actually forgot about that burn! And so true about Harper. Yes, when career politcians dismiss “real jobs” they deserve all the censure they get.

I agree with everything you’ve written and I’m die hard Liberal. I would have considered voting for Jack Layton (RIP) and Ed Broadbent had he been leader (a gem of a man too). Had Jack survived and been running against Trudeau I think many Liberals (perhaps myself as well) would have crossed the aisle for him

I would read an extended version of this. I did not not know political slash was my thing, but I’m totally here for it!

I’ll allow that “very” is incorrect - though I was thinking in relation to his approval of the pipelines that would place him to the right of even US centrist politics, in my view.

Very right of centre? I’m sorry, but get real. Harper was right of centre, and I wouldn’t even say ‘very’ (very in Canada would be Alberta’s Wildrose party or the also-ran Christian Heritage Party).

It’s really lovely how you crap on him being a drama teacher. Let’s dismiss teachers! Especially the arts!

Uhm, what does an alert contractor actually do for living? Is it some sort of undercover job?

I remember when we could get on a plane and not worry about whether or not it was haunted.
