I am not sure why so many people are claiming this could be interpreted as a conservative cartoon making fun of BLM and people who wear masks. It’s very clear from the facial expressions with whom you’re supposed to sympathize, and it ain’t the white anti-masker.

Really? I read it immediately as making fun of white people who minimize the problems black people face (and are the majority of supporters for the anti-science GOP).

Apparently there’s a misallocation of irony in this country. I’m up to my sternum in it (anti-maskers chanting “My body, my choice” and Covid-positive Louie Gohmert petulantly stating that his health care is between him and his doctor). Yet some of the viewers of this deeply ironic cartoon are clueless.

Your lack of comprehension and sensitivity underscores the artist’s point.

I call B.S. on anyone who allegedly thought this cartoon trivialized BLM. At best, they flunked basic reading comprehension. At worst, their continued ignorance and obliviousness to the impact of white supremacy and the pandemic on POC highlights the problem.

It reads as a jab at dumbass white ladies to me, and how they will try to run other people’s lives

Have the temerity to exist.

She’s homeless, she’s homeless...

Moral “victories” are still defeats.

A First 48 crew was present when Aiyana Jones was murdered. These cop “documentaries” should have had their day of reckoning years ago.

Fuck First 48 and every lying grandstanding cop involved with it. I'm from Miami and have seen their bullshit upclose and have friends who have served time because of lying detectives. Years later the PD disassociates themselves from the show and the cops are reassigned or retire once cases start getting reassessed,

This is the last straw.

They’re going to Tulsa on Juneteenth for the same reason Reagan spoke in Philadelphia, MS in 1980.  It’s a dogwhistle signifying a support for continued white supremacy.

This is a good example to hold up to anyone who says that this somehow “isn’t the GOP they grew up with, or how the Republican brand has been tarnished by Trump”, because then you can make them uncomfortable by bringing up the fact that Ronald Reagan, the one some folks seem to hold up as some wholesome, folksy

At this point we won’t know if they did it because they felt it was the right thing to do or if they did it because they wanted the PR shitstorm to stop.

Yeah, remember when Rosa Parks and all those “bullies” picked on the poor Montgomery, Alabama Public Transit back in 1956? Such a bad look.

When boycotting a powerful corporation is 'bullying' I'll eat my own ass.  Good grief.

That would require those democrats to actually want to reform the police, tho.

On some real shit, shoutout to the Congressional Black Caucus, as you know they made the white members of Congress wear that shit.

When Trump gets reelected, remember, it’s because all the moderate asshats in the Democratic party banded behind Joe Biden based on the votes of Southern Democrats who contribute zero electoral college votes in November, yet you’ll blame progressives.
