Well you get it then — scarcity creates value and all that. The solution is obviously to reduce the male population.

Values surrounding sex were different when women didn’t have birth control. Marriage is socially enforced monogamy, but if you don’t want children there is little reason to get married. The practice of women refusing to have sex with men until they proved themselves good enough to marry/staying virgins until marriage

I am willing to bet more women are murdered by partners within “socially enforced monogamous relationships” than by incel terrorists.

skinny blond white women (being) immediately given platforms to spew whatever stupid shit they want at the masses

Yep.

Yep.

I think I was about that same age when I saw the Day After, but to be honest it’s all a blur since I don’t think I slept for the next four years.

Eh, I think a lot of men do shave their faces to conform, just like in some cultures they DON't shave because they're expected to have beards. People's choices are fine but I think it's dishonest to pretend that social standards have nothing whatsoever to do with it. (Though according to lots of men I've known,

I love the idea of Rose from the Golden Girls being a grooming role model.

I also notice women's clothes are designed to accentuate your exterior contours more, which perpetuates the need for shaving. Men's clothing is far less form-fitting. I imagine if they were wearing mini-dresses, a shock of pit hair would be much more distracting.

No disrespect to Bowie! I love him but people tend to overrate his looks. He looks good and all, but the rock star factor makes people appreciate traits they wouldn't appreciate on the rest of us.

David Bowie should be so lucky.

Hey man you're ruining my moment of smugness.

Never underestimate the kitten factor of male sex appeal.

Not to mention if you're vegan for ethical reasons, most pharmaceuticals and medical procedures are tested on animals during development, yet even the most nitpicky vegans tend to ignore this. Being concerned exclusively with the ingredients is kind of meaningless.

They do think the bees are suffering. I don't think it's within our understanding to ponder how the bees' lives are being disrupted by how we harvest their honey, but rest assured there are purists who do.

"My personal favorite body type is a guy with strong muscles but a little bit of extra padding over them, so I can feel the muscles underneath but not necessarily see them bulging and rippling."

Muscles are often appreciated because it's unusual to get a good look at a perfectly chiseled male form in person, but just because it grabs my attention doesn't mean that's what I would pursue exclusively if I had the choice.

The difference between our positions is mobility. In the system you describe, a man can acquire wealth and status, whereas women are at the mercy of genetics.

Maybe so, but in the end it's mainly pop culture. Disparate views including some which are feminist are represented. Female chauvinism isn't the same thing although it may appear so to people who are only peripherally familiar with feminism as a movement. Non-feminist women often bemoan male behavior from
