Yep.

Yep.

Eh, I think a lot of men do shave their faces to conform, just like in some cultures they DON't shave because they're expected to have beards. People's choices are fine but I think it's dishonest to pretend that social standards have nothing whatsoever to do with it. (Though according to lots of men I've known,

I love the idea of Rose from the Golden Girls being a grooming role model.

I also notice women's clothes are designed to accentuate your exterior contours more, which perpetuates the need for shaving. Men's clothing is far less form-fitting. I imagine if they were wearing mini-dresses, a shock of pit hair would be much more distracting.

No disrespect to Bowie! I love him but people tend to overrate his looks. He looks good and all, but the rock star factor makes people appreciate traits they wouldn't appreciate on the rest of us.

David Bowie should be so lucky.

Hey man you're ruining my moment of smugness.

Never underestimate the kitten factor of male sex appeal.

Not to mention if you're vegan for ethical reasons, most pharmaceuticals and medical procedures are tested on animals during development, yet even the most nitpicky vegans tend to ignore this. Being concerned exclusively with the ingredients is kind of meaningless.

They do think the bees are suffering. I don't think it's within our understanding to ponder how the bees' lives are being disrupted by how we harvest their honey, but rest assured there are purists who do.

"My personal favorite body type is a guy with strong muscles but a little bit of extra padding over them, so I can feel the muscles underneath but not necessarily see them bulging and rippling."

Muscles are often appreciated because it's unusual to get a good look at a perfectly chiseled male form in person, but just because it grabs my attention doesn't mean that's what I would pursue exclusively if I had the choice.

The difference between our positions is mobility. In the system you describe, a man can acquire wealth and status, whereas women are at the mercy of genetics.

Maybe so, but in the end it's mainly pop culture. Disparate views including some which are feminist are represented. Female chauvinism isn't the same thing although it may appear so to people who are only peripherally familiar with feminism as a movement. Non-feminist women often bemoan male behavior from

I hadn't thought of that as a first name, but wow...

What makes you think this is any sort of representation of What Feminism Should Be? I must have missed where it says feminism in "Jezebel: Celebrity, Sex, Fashion for Women..." It's a women's gossip blog. Feminist issues may be discussed from time to time, but female chauvinism is also spoken here and (prepare to

Stealing ^^^ that ^^^gif

Don't forget Topher, Tyler and Trent.

Sexualized or not, sometimes it's hot outside (the reason men go shirtless). There are other societies besides ours, many of whom seem to be able to tolerate female breasts in public spaces.

I would go topless for real if I had abs like this.
