Right? “20 YEAR OLD MOVIE MADE WHEN LOTS OF SUPERHERO MOVIES WERE STILL BAD WAS NOT PC AND BAD” is the weirdest attempt at a hot take I’ve seen in a while now.

You feel less like a reader and more like an alt account for the writer trying reaaaaly hard to defend this article.  And failing.

Your comment was far more of an interesting read than this entire article that someone pushed out because they apparently had a deadline and this is the best they came up with.

You don’t grasp the concept between what a power fantasy is and what a sexual fantasy is at all, do you?

So you completely miss the allegory that the way people treat the fictional characters are actually a reflection on how people treat ACTUAL people? You’re literally in the thread where it was pointed out that there are double standards for the volley ball team’s uniforms. We’re literally commenting on an article about

If you want the stripper sorceress, fine. *Additionally*, offer a non-stripper option. Have a title screen with an option that says “Fan service: On/Off”. The fact that a player of the game is asking for the game to be more reflective of her is not censorship or oppression.

The difference is you get to choose what your guy is wearing. It’s your choice. But with games like WoW you don’t have that choice.

Looking forward to it.  I got a small group of friends - we still regularly enjoying playing the game (for all its flaws, it’s still fun to get together and smash shit together) and we’ve been watching for this release.  Just hope it’s not the last update...

Anyone else surprised by the combat choreography? I’m usually not into huge animated fight scenes because it often ends up all over the place with hyperfocused moments, but I really thought there was an art to how they pulled it off in this ep.

You call it “having the stones”, the rest of us see it as “Needing drama and attention so pulling an edgelord”

This implies the two parties have equal footing - there is one side here who has markedly more power than the other, and they’re the one who controls the deal.

Except per the update, Disney’s already trying to throw her under the “But Pandemic - she’s mean for not caring about the DEAD people”

They’re in uniforms the same reason the winter soldier keepers showed off his big giant FU arm rather than hide it so he’d blend. The reputation attached to the legend is enough to scare the crap out of people. Either you didn’t know about the Widows and it wouldn’t matter if they’re in uniform (cause you’ll be dead)

Most people see the movie with other people. Imax tickets here go for over $16 per seat, so a couple on a night out would have paid more for an Imax showing. Even in a regular theater, a family of four can easily cost over $30 in ticket sales.

Never trust a company who describes their workers as “family”. The only people that helps are the owners, who can lean on that “but we’re like family” when you come asking for your fair share.

You’re oddly generalistic for sure. She aligns with a government agency that ends up being a shell for an evil one, which pushes her to lean a bit more on the next thing she has loyalty to, being the Avengers, who then split down the middle, managing to backstab either side at various points (siding with Tony, hurting

I think if you compare the viewers who’d still stan the FatF movies 9 movies in and MCU viewers, on top of people who care there’s still a raging pandemic vs. those who don’t, I’m guessing those are two very similar-looking venn diagrams.

Glad to hear it - enjoyed watching the show (the mix of child-like storybook narration and dark adult tones was engrossing) and would have been pissed if they hadn’t continued after leaving it on such an obvious cliffhanger.

To be clear - the only way it could be a problem is if we were stupid enough to believe something on one newspaper.

Sounds like a whole lot of “Get off my lawn - movies these days” opinion right here. Which is fine. My opinion was this was a good movie, especially considering it came out 2 phases too late and had to tell a story where we already know how and when the main character dies.
