Netflix has a several episode series discussing this disaster and how it was completely avoidable and caused by money and ego. Highly recommended.

Watch some Lovecraft Country and once you combine that 50's aesthetic with authentic racism, it gets scary as shit.
No. This is a Big Little Lies moment. This show was perfect as-is, and adding on more can only weaken the story. It goes from being a one-and-done perfect story and turns into a “Well, the first season was OK but that 2nd did not work.” Which turns it from a “must see” to a “well if I get around to it.”
Yeah I’d be considered a big fan of his work in general, but for someone to be a fan of this work and to also think it’s okay to harass someone just for sharing experiences seems disingenuous. I think you could say anyone who would do such a thing could never have been that big of a fan of his work in the first place.
How the hell do you make a list like that and forget the king of all opening themes, Perfect Strangers?
I’ll second that Firefly didn’t tank for lack of interest, but it was yet another show Fox mishandled incredibly and was determined to cancel. Someone really should do a retrospective on Fox’s mishandling of series with potential (especially their Friday Night death slot) - it’d be an intriguing watch with how many…
Ugh. Why.
Can’t help but notice this is a convenient article that’s ignoring the HUGE NUMBER OF PEOPLE who aren’t even attempting to hit the lowest of bars (wearing a mask) and in many cases, flaunting their disregard. Those are largely who this vitriol is aimed at. But that’s so overdone it won’t get you the clicks, right?
I’d thought I’d heard that Into The Dark had been cancelled. Happy to see that’s not the case!
I’ve been playing this game since early-release before they even added the 3rd world. Love it. Always loved it. Loved watching how it grew and improved even beyond when I thought something was already polished. Acting - awesome. Graphics - beautiful. Mechanics - tight. Music - hauntingly beautiful. Story - just yes.…
If WW2 is her without studio interference, I can’t believe I’m saying this, but the studio best intervene with WW3...
Because studio heads think just putting a pretty face as the leads makes a great movie. They forget that all great movies started with a great script - that writing is so damn important.
Spoiler alert: “Hopefully Kristen Wiig’s debut as the powerful and obsessive feline warrior finally does her justice. Meow.” Didn’t happen. It was terrible and would have been forgettable if not memorable for how bad it is. ugh.
See, when I thought she was losing her powers to Barbara, I thought “Oh crap, how do you fix that? How do you fight?” and I was thinking “Oh wow, this is going to be a hell of a conflict” and I was still half -engaged (the whole Quantum Leap Chris Pine effect had me questioning a lot of things).
Also, fuck her heels. Seriously - opening shot just shows her standing in huge wedge heels. You can try and retcon a strapless top (stupid for a warrior) and the itty bitty stylish skirt, but ffs those heels are just dumb as shit. It’s a look thing, and I thought she was a warrior, not a model.
Honestly even for people who watch a ton of superhero movies (myself included) it wasn’t clear. Until it was spelled out, it looked more like Wigg was syphoning off Diana’s powers inadvertently because she’d wished to be more like Diana, and she was gaining while Diana was losing.
As much as her powers *ever* get defined. She’s kinda bulletproof but not, but also has a ‘cross armed’ power cannon thing, but almost never uses it despite it being useful. And now she kinda flies, but not really because the final fight was all about the lasso, but also she can lasso planes thousands of feet away,…
Wow this is a rose-colored paid piece if I ever read it. The fact there’s a dead guy returning pretty much guarantees it can’t stand alone from the first movie, and the fact is, it doesn’t stand alone because it is part of a series, the fact she flies in this (kinda, maybe? Who knows - they’ll never try to define her…
The whole plot was rushed and not thought out. This movie had horrendous writing. Singling out the Trevor storyline as the one bad apple is ignoring the entire festering barrel of problems.
The fact he could choose was crap writing. The whole point was the stone gave you a wish but took what you value most. Him becoming the stone, it just was him picking what he wanted the most.
