Thanks! I really did just schedule an appt with my doctor today, and she's always seemed like a pretty progressive dr, so hopefully it will all go without a hitch! Although, I do live in Utah, so if she won't do it, finding one who will could prove to be difficult, as this is a notoriously conservative state.

Thanks for the info! I've been doing a lot of research on them, and it seems like the heavier period is really the only side effect, and that's much better than my current side effects of depression/anxiety/no sex drive from my hormonal BC. I'm glad to know it's worth it!!

I've read about that, and I'm definitely not looking forward to that aspect of it, especially since I basically have no period on my current BC. However, I do have tons of anxiety and depression issues because of the hormones, and no sex drive. I've been weighing the pros and cons for a while, and I decided that a

Well, I've been considering getting a copper IUD for a long time, and I'm taking this as a sign from the universe to call my dr and make an appt today. I've had enough of hormonal BC!

I was going to make the same comment. It's so ridiculous. She was perfectly respectful. I am losing hope that Jezebel is above the ridiculous page view ploys of other sites, as this post clearly shows they are just as bad as the rest.

I was so mad after the first dinner when he and Sybil were talking and he said, "Don't disappoint me," to her. I always hated how overbearing and pushy he was towards her.

Without any spoilers, Sybil and Branson were a bit more interesting in the new episode than they were before. Although, I still mostly hate Branson. He's awful.

Great danes don't tend to be very stocky dogs. At least not the ones I've seen around dog parks.

Well, if they do have a religion, they probably believe in the wrong god, so that means they are going to hell along with the gays. She'll probably cover that in her lesson entitled Why We'll Be the Only Ones in Heaven.

When I was a sophomore in college, there was a person who was going through sorority rush, and this person was a man dressed in a Catholic school girl type outfit with a terrible fake blonde wig. And he was also definitely in his late 20s, whereas typical rush women are at the oldest sophomores. Now, he could have

I was living in a basement apartment when I was attending the University of Utah, and the home was sold to another owner while we were living there. The new owner was Mormon and tried to impose BYU Honor Code-type restrictions on the house; no overnight guests of the opposite sex, no alcohol in the house, etc.

That is such a devastating story. I cannot imagine how a judge would think that taking a child away from the only parents they've ever known is the right choice.

My biggest problem is that the author says that prioritizing female friendships is somehow a part of this. I didn't realize that women were no longer supposed to be friends once we are "grown ups." Girls nights out and boozy vacations can be very important in a well-rounded, fulfilled life. Partner and kids doesn't

I actually thought when first reading the comment about women looking for a guy to give them job security, etc, that she was saying that women were looking for a HUSBAND who could do that for them. I did not realize that she was actually talking about wanting a president to do those things. Apparently that is what I

Kristin Chenoweth was who I pictured the entire time I was reading the books!!

They did a study about a technology and commented on how it could be applied in a real-life situation, so I commented on how I think this technology could have problems when used in a real-life situation. This is a discussion about something that was posted, and people think about it and comment on it. You get that,

It seems like this could backfire for people who flush easily, even when sober, or have certain skin conditions that causes hot spots.

I thought the pilot was really fun and has a lot of great potential. I have high hopes for her wide-eyed assistant, that character seems like she could be a breakout highlight of the ensemble, if given the right material.

Cougar Town has that same problem. It's actually a really funny show, but the title is just awful. Also, the fact that it's just a show about a bunch of rich white people sitting around drinking wine, which is another problem all on it's own.....

I had to look that up, and I had no idea she had that disorder. That would be a rough thing to deal with, considering she probably has to deal with camera flashes a lot in her life.
