I think I just got incepted by that or something....

Oh my gosh, I totally did!! And I was horrified, and then reminded myself it wasn't real. But the saddest thing....it wasn't that surprising that someone would create a show like that.

I think what the majority of Christians (or at least people who claim to be Christian) need to do is actually READ the Bible. If you read all the parables from Jesus and basically anything in the New Testament, it's so far removed from what modern, and dare I say it? American Christians claim is the word of God.

Like I said, it's an imperfect system. And I know that when my sister was granted child support for her first son, what his father actually paid every month wasn't even a quarter of what was needed for him. I also know that what my bf pays in child support is definitely more than half of what she spends on him.

As the girlfriend of a man who pays child support to his ex, and sees it spent on things other than the child, I wish there was some kind of accountability system so that all child support actually has to be spent only on the child's needs. But it's such an imperfect system, I doubt that will ever happen.

Oh jeez, I know! When I tried on my first helmet, I was like, can we get something that doesn't give chipmunk cheeks? But I suppose chipmunk cheeks are preferable to getting your brain rattled by a helmet that's too big :) I just tell myself, everyone else has the same problem, so we're all in it together!

I totally agree with you. I have a bright pink jacket, and a white helmet, and a bright red bike. Obviously motorists need to pay more attention to the road, but let's not make it any easier on them to ignore us. When I started riding, my boyfriend's first advice was, ride like you are invisible. Assume no one can see

I agree that motorcycles can be very dangerous, but it also has a lot to do with the driver. A motorcycle doesn't just run into a semi all on its own. I am very sorry for the woman injured in the accident, but there are so many riders who don't practice sufficient safety measures while on the road. I am of the opinion

As someone who is always broke, I can tell you that when friends started having multiple babies, the idea of having to get a gift for every single new baby is just too much of an expense. It's not that I don't love my friends, or their kids, but I don't make much money, so I can't always afford to give a gift for the

Actually, as a Utah resident, the majority of polygamists live in Arizona, and sometimes cross over into southern Utah. They go back and forth to avoid law enforcement. (I assumed you were referring to polygamists here.)

As a ridiculous fan of Friends, I'm going to try and defend it :)

To be fair, it doesn't sound like Dakota Fanning's reaction was quite as dramatic as Olsen's. Rolling your eyes and scooting down a seat isn't exactly the same as like, I don't know, telling Lindsay she's a hot mess and Fanning doesn't even want to be near her.

My dad sent me a link to this article back when it was first happening, when I was a vegetarian, as well. He said something to the effect of, I guess you do need meat to survive. For some reason he was very offended at my choice to be a vegetarian.

Of course most people here don't like her! She's not the "right" kind of woman. It's gotten pretty silly around here lately, with who is accepted as the kind of woman that is deemed ok.

While I agree that there CAN be diversity in rural areas, it's much easier to find in urban areas. Or at least that has been my experience having lived and known people in every place from farmland to NYC.

Well, we live together, but like I said, the mother and son live in a different state. I doubt I will meet the kid unless we move out there, or when he is old enough to come here on his own for visits.

That is definitely good advice! Always take the high road!

Thanks, it's helpful to hear a success story! He sounds like he's a mostly good kid, so I think it won't be too bad. I'm the favorite aunt to all my nieces and nephews (or so I like to think, haha), so hopefully this kid will like me too :)

My boyfriend has a horrendous relationship with his ex-wife. She and their 3 yr old son live far away, and he only sees his kid a few times a year, unfortunately. She doesn't exactly know about me, even though he and I live together, because he doesn't want to give her an opportunity to try and make a fuss about it.

What kills me is how OLD she looks! She's only 17, right? She looks like she's at least 30 in some of those pics. Yikes!
