If you do anything with documents, especially editing them on multiple computers, definitely skydrive. Office web apps make google docs look like child's play. Plus, you won't have to convert between file formats.

I completely agree. Everything that this article has mentioned can be accomplished simply by not pulling your phone out of the pocket, which I frequently do. Also, i see my phone as more like a Hitchhiker's Guide than an instructions book, and I use information from it to supplement what I already know. Like going to

Ctrl-Z, ctrl-z! It's not working?! Ctrl-alt-z!

I just couldn't use GIMP's interface. Too confusing with all of those windows floating around. Also, it maps a tablet independently of the mouse pointer.

If I am permitted to venture a guess on this point, I would suggest that since the new brain is, well, new, there is a higher degree of plasticity and it was easier for that brain to learn? i.e. the memories/aversions, etc, in the new brain hasn't crystallized yet?
