Went to some meetings out of town, and needed to fly. The limo service that picked me up at the airport uses these things. Some of them are fully stretched too!

Convertibles. All of them. It wrecks the lines on some of the worlds most beautiful cars. I have yet to ever see a convertible that I would prefer.
I have a FWD Clubman S ‘16. I’d agree with pretty much everything you said. I DD it 50mi+ a day and it’s a great commuter car. Especially on the sweeping country roads I drive to work. After I replaced the criminally awful runflats that came on it, it’s even better. Now I just need the Dinan module like elRobRex…
But will there be punch and pie?
With a kid and a dog, I have absolutely no use for this car. I want it sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much!!!
Here is a sketch-artist’s drawing of the suspected condition of the frame under that car.
The Ford Flex.
This is a miracle in construction with new materials. Somehow they managed to turn NOPE!’s into a physical item that has a high tensile strength. Amazing.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand it’s gone. Bummer. I was hoping to see the stupidity myself.
I blame you for the coffee i just spit out in laughter. And I thank you too.
The sedan is uglier. In my opinion, some hatchback is better than no hatchback. Full disclosure - I think the A7 and the Panamera are both some of the best looking cars on the road.
100% pure badassery. Love the paint job. I’ve always had a brightly colored car in an effort to stick out, at least a little. Someday I hope to get the nerve to do something this “not normal” to a car. Although, driving a red mini in the land of drab SUV’s already helps to stick out.
Gas taxes have been out-paced by inflation, and hindered by hybrids, fuel efficient vehicles, and Elon Musk. The money is there, but not to an extent that it can fix the issues by itself anymore.
Damn you beat me. Came here to suggest him or Winterkorn.
Man I sure am glad we’ve got that whole separation of church and state thing.....
My house is occupied by me, my wife, a kid and a 50lb dog. In the garage there is a VW Golf Sportwagen, and a new Mini Clubman S. They are both plenty big for anything and everything i’ve needed to accomplish.
This makes me incredibly sad. My poor 2010 Golf is undoubtedly in that lot somewhere. I miss the fun to drive with a side of ~54mpg on my daily commute. I’d planned to keep it for another 10 years too. Might have considered keeping it if VW didn’t make it financially irresponsible to not sell it back.
Grow hops! They’re a rather attractive and very fast growing vine. And they help get rid of the mites that can kill off bees.
TIL: You could get a current model year crossover with a manual. Who the hell would have thought?! But it was victim of every manufacturer’s “put a stick in the base-ass base model and walk away” philosophy. Dammit.
